எனினும், அவர்கள் (அவ்வாறு செய்வதில் நின்றும்) ஒதுங்கி விடுவார்களாயின் (நீங்கள் அவர்களைக் கொல்லாதீர்கள்) நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் மிக மன்னிப்போனாகவும், கருணையுடையோனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

(on the day) when the sun is made to cease shining,
சூரியன் (ஒளியில்லாததாகச்) சுருட்டப்படும் போது

their brethren plunge them further into error and cease not.
ஆனால் ஷைத்தான்களின் சதோதரர்களோ அவர்களை வழி கேட்டிலேயே இழுத்துச் செல்வார்கள் - அவர்கள் (பாவத்தின் பாதையிலான தம் முயற்சியில்) யாதொரு குறையும் செய்ய மாட்டார்கள்.

and their brethren increase them in error, then they cease not.
ஆனால் ஷைத்தான்களின் சதோதரர்களோ அவர்களை வழி கேட்டிலேயே இழுத்துச் செல்வார்கள் - அவர்கள் (பாவத்தின் பாதையிலான தம் முயற்சியில்) யாதொரு குறையும் செய்ய மாட்டார்கள்.

and if they cease, then indeed, allah is forgiving and merciful.
எனினும், அவர்கள் (அவ்வாறு செய்வதில் நின்றும்) ஒதுங்கி விடுவார்களாயின் (நீங்கள் அவர்களைக் கொல்லாதீர்கள்) நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் மிக மன்னிப்போனாகவும், கருணையுடையோனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

they said: if thou cease not, o lot, thou wilt soon be of the outcast.
அவர் கூறினார்; "நிச்சயமாக நான் உங்கள் செயல்களைக் கடுமையாக வெறுப்பவனாக இருக்கிறேன்.

no indeed! if he does not cease, we shall seize him by the forelock,
அப்படியல்ல: அவன் விலகிக் கொள்ளவில்லையானால், நிச்சயமாக நாம் (அவனுடைய) முன்னெற்றி ரோமத்தைப் பிடித்து அவனை இழுப்போம்.

they said: we shall by no means cease to be its votaries till moses return unto us.
"மூஸா எங்களிடம் திரும்பி வரும் வரையில், நாங்கள் இதன் ஆராதனையை நிறுத்த மாட்டோம்" என்று அவர்கள் கூறினர்.

if we willed, we verily could make it chaff, then would ye cease not to exclaim:
நாம் நாடினால் திட்டமாக அதனைக் கூளமாய் ஆக்கிவிடுவோம் - அப்பால் நீங்கள் ஆச்சரியப்பட்டுக் கொண்டு இருப்பீர்கள்.

and had thy lord willed, he would surely have made mankind of one community, and they will not cease differing.
உம் இறைவன் நாடியிருந்தால் மனிதர்கள் அனைவரையும் ஒரே சமுதாயத்தவராக ஆக்கியிருப்பான்; (அவன் அப்படி ஆக்கவில்லை.) எனவே, அவர்கள் எப்போதும் பேதப்பட்டுக் கொண்டே இருப்பார்கள்.

and if your lord had willed, he could have made mankind one community; but they will not cease to differ.
உம் இறைவன் நாடியிருந்தால் மனிதர்கள் அனைவரையும் ஒரே சமுதாயத்தவராக ஆக்கியிருப்பான்; (அவன் அப்படி ஆக்கவில்லை.) எனவே, அவர்கள் எப்போதும் பேதப்பட்டுக் கொண்டே இருப்பார்கள்.

they said: by allah! thou wilt not cease remembering yusuf until thou art wizened or thou be of the dead.
(இதைக் கண்ணுற்ற அவருடைய மக்கள்; தந்தையே!) "அல்லாஹ்வின் மீது சத்தியமாக! நீங்கள் யூஸுஃபை நினைத்து (நினைத்து அழுது, நோயுற்று,) இளைத்து மடிந்து போகும் வரை (அவர் எண்ணத்தை விட்டும்) நீங்க மாட்டீர்கள்" என்று கூறினார்கள்.

and those who disbelieve will not cease to be in doubt thereof until the hour come upon them unawares, or there come unto them the doom of a disastrous day.
நிராகரித்தவர்கள் மறுமை நாள் திடீரென அவர்களிடம் வரும் வரை அல்லது மலட்டு நாளின் வேதனை அவர்களிடம் வரும் வரை அதுபற்றி சந்தேகத்திலேயே இருக்கிறார்கள்.

and recall what time musa said unto his page: i shall not cease until i reach the confluence of the two seas, or i shall go on for ages.
இன்னும் மூஸா தம் பணியாளிடம், "இரு கடல்களும் சேரும் இடத்தை அடையும் வரை நீங்காது நடப்பேன்; அல்லது வருடக் கணக்கில் நான் போய்க்கொண்டிருப்பேன்" என்று கூறியதை நீர் நினைவு படுத்துவீராக.

'we will not cease,' they said, 'to cleave to it, until moses returns to us.')
"மூஸா எங்களிடம் திரும்பி வரும் வரையில், நாங்கள் இதன் ஆராதனையை நிறுத்த மாட்டோம்" என்று அவர்கள் கூறினர்.

and fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is all for allah. but if they cease, then lo! allah is seer of what they do.
(முஃமின்களே! இவர்களுடைய) விஷமங்கள் முற்றிலும் நீங்கி, (அல்லாஹ்வின்) மார்க்கம் முற்றிலும் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே ஆகம்வரையில் அவர்களுடன் போர் புரியுங்கள்; ஆனால் அவர்கள் (விஷமங்கள் செய்வதிலிருந்து) விலகிக் கொண்டால் - நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் அவர்கள் செய்வதை உற்று நோக்கியவனாகவே இருக்கின்றான்.

and their building which they have builded will not cease to be a cause of doubt in their hearts unless it be that their hearts are cut asunder; and allah is knowing, wise.
அவர்கள் எழுப்பிய அவர்களுடைய கட்டடம் (இடிக்கப்பட்டது); அவர்கள் உள்ளங்களிலே ஒருவடுவாக இருந்துக் கொண்டே இருக்கும். அவர்களின் உள்ளங்கள் துண்டு துண்டாக ஆகும்வரை (அதாவது மரணிக்கும் வரை). அல்லாஹ் நன்கறிந்தவன்; ஞானமிக்கவன்.

'by god,' they said, 'thou wilt never cease mentioning joseph till thou art consumed, or among the perishing.'
(இதைக் கண்ணுற்ற அவருடைய மக்கள்; தந்தையே!) "அல்லாஹ்வின் மீது சத்தியமாக! நீங்கள் யூஸுஃபை நினைத்து (நினைத்து அழுது, நோயுற்று,) இளைத்து மடிந்து போகும் வரை (அவர் எண்ணத்தை விட்டும்) நீங்க மாட்டீர்கள்" என்று கூறினார்கள்.

and fight them on until there is no more tumult or oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in allah; but if they cease, let there be no hostility except to those who practise oppression.
ஃபித்னா(குழப்பமும், கலகமும்) நீங்கி அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே மார்க்கம் என்பது உறுதியாகும் வரை, நீங்கள் அவர்களுடன் போரிடுங்கள்;. ஆனால் அவர்கள் ஒதுங்கி விடுவார்களானால் - அக்கிரமக்காரர்கள் தவிர(வேறு எவருடனும்) பகை (கொண்டு போர் செய்தல்) கூடாது.
