and establish your prayer at the two edges of the day and in part of the night. good deeds will repel evil deeds. that is a remembrance for those whoremember.
பகலின் (காலை, மாலை ஆகிய) இருமுனைகளிலும், இரவின் பகுதியிலும் நீங்கள் தொழுகையை நிலைப்படுத்துவீராக - நிச்சயமாக நற்செயல்கள், தீச்செயல்களைப் போக்கிவிடும் - (இறைவனை) நினைவு கூறுவோருக்கு இது நல்லுபதேசமாக இருக்கும்.

and establish thou the prayer at the two ends of the day, and in the neighbouring watches of the night verily virtues take away vices. that is a reminder unto the mindful.
பகலின் (காலை, மாலை ஆகிய) இருமுனைகளிலும், இரவின் பகுதியிலும் நீங்கள் தொழுகையை நிலைப்படுத்துவீராக - நிச்சயமாக நற்செயல்கள், தீச்செயல்களைப் போக்கிவிடும் - (இறைவனை) நினைவு கூறுவோருக்கு இது நல்லுபதேசமாக இருக்கும்.

and establish prayer at the two ends of the day and at the approach of the night. indeed, good deeds do away with misdeeds. that is a reminder for those who remember.
பகலின் (காலை, மாலை ஆகிய) இருமுனைகளிலும், இரவின் பகுதியிலும் நீங்கள் தொழுகையை நிலைப்படுத்துவீராக - நிச்சயமாக நற்செயல்கள், தீச்செயல்களைப் போக்கிவிடும் - (இறைவனை) நினைவு கூறுவோருக்கு இது நல்லுபதேசமாக இருக்கும்.

o ye who believe! when the call is heard for the prayer of the day of congregation, haste unto remembrance of allah and leave your trading. that is better for you if ye did but know.
ஈமான் கொண்டவர்களே! ஜுமுஆ உடைய நாளில் தொழுகைக்காக நீங்கள் அழைக்கப்பட்டால், வியாபாரத்தை விட்டுவிட்டு, அல்லாஹ்வைத் தியானிக்க (பள்ளிக்கு) விரைந்து செல்லுங்கள் - நீங்கள் அறிபவர்களாக இருப்பின் இதுவே உங்களுக்கு மிக மேலான நன்மையுடையதாகும்.

that is part of the wisdom your lord has revealed to you. so do not set up any deity beside allah lest you are cast into hell, rebuked and deprived of every good.
இவையெல்லாம் உம்முடைய இறைவன் உமக்கு வஹீ (மூலம்) அறிவித்துள்ள ஞான உபதேசங்களாகும். ஆகவே அல்லாஹ்வுடன் வேறு நாயனை (இணையாக) ஏற்படுத்தாதீர்; (அப்படிச் செய்தால்) நீர் நிந்திக்கப்பட்டவராகவும் துரத்தப்பட்டவராகவும் நரகத்தில் எறியப்படுவீர்.

and most auspicious is he, for whom is the kingship of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them; and only with him is the knowledge of the last day; and towards him you are to return.
அவன் பெரும் பாக்கியம் உடையவன்; வானங்கள், பூமி, இவை இரண்டிற்குமிடையே உள்ளவை ஆகியவற்றின் ஆடசி அவனுக்குடையதே, அவனிடம் தான் (இறுதி) வேளைக்குரிய ஞானமும் இருக்கிறது மேலும், அவனிடமே நீங்கள் மீட்கப்படுவீர்கள்.

and establish the prayer at the two ends of the day and in the first hours of the night. indeed the good deeds drive away the evil deeds. this is a reminder to those who are mindful of allah.
பகலின் (காலை, மாலை ஆகிய) இருமுனைகளிலும், இரவின் பகுதியிலும் நீங்கள் தொழுகையை நிலைப்படுத்துவீராக - நிச்சயமாக நற்செயல்கள், தீச்செயல்களைப் போக்கிவிடும் - (இறைவனை) நினைவு கூறுவோருக்கு இது நல்லுபதேசமாக இருக்கும்.

and keep the prayer established at the two ends of the day and in some parts of the night; indeed good deeds wipe out the evil deeds; this is an advice to those who heed it.
பகலின் (காலை, மாலை ஆகிய) இருமுனைகளிலும், இரவின் பகுதியிலும் நீங்கள் தொழுகையை நிலைப்படுத்துவீராக - நிச்சயமாக நற்செயல்கள், தீச்செயல்களைப் போக்கிவிடும் - (இறைவனை) நினைவு கூறுவோருக்கு இது நல்லுபதேசமாக இருக்கும்.

so bear patiently with what they say. glorify your lord, praising him before sunrise and before sunset, and in the watches of the night, and glorify him and at the ends of the day that you may attain to happiness.
ஆகவே (நபியே!) அவர்கள் சொல்வதை(யெல்லாம்) நீர் பொறுத்துக் கொள்வீராக இன்னும் சூரியன் உதிப்பதற்கு முன்னும், அது அடைவதற்கு முன்னும், இரவின் நேரங்களிலும் உம்முடைய இறைவனின் புகழைத் துதித்துத் தொழுவீராக மேலும் இன்னும் பகலின் (இரு) முனைகளிலும் இவ்வாறே துதி செய்து தொழுவீராக இதனால் (நன்மைகளடைந்து) நீர் திருப்தி பெறலாம்.

disbelievers (will be told on the day of judgment), "do not make any excuses on this day; you are only receiving recompense for what you have done".
(அன்று காஃபிர்களிடம்) நிராகரித்தோரே! இன்று நீங்கள் எந்தப்புகழும் கூறாதீர்கள், நீங்கள் கூலி கொடுக்கப்படுவதெல்லாம் நீங்கள் செய்து கொண்டிருந்ததற்குத்தான்.

and a party of the people of the scripture say: "believe in the morning in that which is revealed to the believers (muslims), and reject it at the end of the day, so that they may turn back.
வேதத்தையுடையோரில் ஒரு சாரார் (தம் இனத்தாரிடம்); "ஈமான் கொண்டோர் மீது இறக்கப்பட்ட (வேதத்)தைக் காலையில் நம்பி, மாலையில் நிராகரித்து விடுங்கள்;. இதனால் (ஈமான் கொண்டுள்ள) அவர்களும் ஒரு வேளை (அதை விட்டுத்) திரும்பி விடக்கூடும்" என்று கூறுகின்றனர்.
