(இது) உயிரோடிருப்பவர்களை அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்கிறது. நிராகரிப்பவர்களுக்கு (தண்டனை உண்டு என்ற) வாக்கை உண்மையென உறுதிப் படுத்துகிறது.

and in whatsoever ye differ, the verdict therein belongeth to allah. such is my lord, in whom i put my trust, and unto whom i turn.
நீங்கள் எந்த விஷயத்தில் கருத்து வேற்றுமை கொண்டிருக்கிறீர்களோ, அதன் தீர்ப்பு அல்லாஹ்விடமே இருக்கிறது - அ(த்தகைய தீர்ப்பு வழங்குப)வன் தான் அல்லாஹ் - என்னுடைய இறைவன்; அவன் மீதே நான் முற்றும் நம்பிக்கை வைக்கிறேன்; அன்றியும் அவன் பக்கமே நான் திரும்புகிறேன்.

we guided solomon to the right verdict, and we had granted each of them judgement and knowledge. we made the mountains and the birds celebrate the praise of allah with david. it was we who did all this.

but no, by your lord! they will not believe until they make you a judge in their disputes, then do not find within their hearts any dissent to your verdict and submit in full submission.
உம் இறைவன் மேல் சத்தியமாக, அவர்கள் தங்களிடையே எழுந்த சச்சரவுகளில் உம்மை நீதிபதியாக, ஏற்றுப் பின்னர் நீர் தீர்ப்பு செய்தது பற்றி எத்தகைய அதிருப்தியையும் தம் மனங்களில் கொள்ளாது (அத்தீர்ப்பை) முற்றிலும் ஏற்றுக் கொள்ளாத வரையில், அவர்கள் நம்பிக்கை கொண்டவர்கள் ஆகமாட்டார்கள்.

but no, by thy lord! they will not believe till they make thee the judge regarding the disagreement between them, then they shall find in themselves no impediment touching thy verdict, but shall surrender in full submission.
உம் இறைவன் மேல் சத்தியமாக, அவர்கள் தங்களிடையே எழுந்த சச்சரவுகளில் உம்மை நீதிபதியாக, ஏற்றுப் பின்னர் நீர் தீர்ப்பு செய்தது பற்றி எத்தகைய அதிருப்தியையும் தம் மனங்களில் கொள்ளாது (அத்தீர்ப்பை) முற்றிலும் ஏற்றுக் கொள்ளாத வரையில், அவர்கள் நம்பிக்கை கொண்டவர்கள் ஆகமாட்டார்கள்.

but no, by your lord, they will not believe you until they make you the judge regarding the disagreement between them, then, they will not find in themselves any discomfort concerning your verdict, and will surrender to you in full submission.
உம் இறைவன் மேல் சத்தியமாக, அவர்கள் தங்களிடையே எழுந்த சச்சரவுகளில் உம்மை நீதிபதியாக, ஏற்றுப் பின்னர் நீர் தீர்ப்பு செய்தது பற்றி எத்தகைய அதிருப்தியையும் தம் மனங்களில் கொள்ளாது (அத்தீர்ப்பை) முற்றிலும் ஏற்றுக் கொள்ளாத வரையில், அவர்கள் நம்பிக்கை கொண்டவர்கள் ஆகமாட்டார்கள்.

(muhammad), they seek your verdict. tell them, "god commands this concerning your kindred: if a man dies childless but has a sister, she will receive half of the legacy. if a woman dies childless, her brother will receive the whole legacy. if a childless man leaves only two sisters, both will receive two-thirds of the legacy. if the heirs are both sisters and brothers, the share of a male will be twice as much as the share of the female. god explains his laws to you so that you will not go astray. god knows all things.
(நபியே!) கலாலா (தகப்பன், தாய், பாட்டன், பிள்ளை, பேரன் ஆகிய வாரிசுகள் இல்லாத சொத்து) பற்றிய மார்க்கக் கட்டளையை அவர்கள் உம்மிடம் கேட்கிறார்கள். நீர் கூறும்; அல்லாஹ் உங்களுக்கு (இவ்வாறு) கட்டளையிடுகிறான்;. ஒரு மனிதன் இறந்துவிட்டால், அவனுக்கு மக்கள் இல்லாமலிருந்து ஒரு சகோதரி மட்டும் இருந்தால், அவளுக்கு அவன் விட்டுச் சென்றதிலிருந்து சரி பாதி பங்கு உண்டு. இதற்கு மாறாக ஒரு பெண் இறந்து விட்டால், அவளுக்கு மக்கள் யாரும் இல்லாதிருந்தால், (அவளுடைய சகோதரனாகிய) அவன் அவள் சொத்து முழுமைக்கும் வாரிசு ஆவான்;. இரு சகோதரிகள் இருந்தால் அவன் விட்டுச் சென்ற சொத்தில் மூன்றில் இரண்டு பாகத்தை அடைவார்கள்;. அவளுக்கு உடன் பிறந்தவர்கள் ஆண்களும் பெண்களுமாக இருந்தால், இரண்டு பெண்களுக்குரிய பாகம் ஓர் ஆணுக்கு உண்டு - நீங்கள் வழி தவறாமல் இருப்பதற்காகவே அல்லாஹ் உங்களுக்கு (இவ்விதிகளை) விளக்கி வைக்கிறான்;. அல்லாஹ் யாவற்றையும் நன்கு அறிந்தவனாக இருக்கின்றான்.
