al que nos amo, y nos lavo de nuestros pecados con su sangre,
unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

como enseña la biblia, amamos a dios porque el nos amo primero.
as the bible teaches, we love god because he loved us first.

amamos a otros porque otros (o alguien) nos amo primero.
we love others because others (or another) first loved us.

amamos a las personas porque alguien nos amo primero y modelo el amor para nosotros.
we love people because someone first loved us and modeled love for us.

2:4 pero dios, que es rico en misericordia, por su gran amor con que nos amo,
and god, being rich in kindness, because of his great love with which he loved us,

y hoy necesitamos recordar que jesús murió por nosotros porque nos amo mucho más que nos pudiéramos imaginar y entender.
and today we need to remember that jesus died for us because he loved us far more than we can even begin to understand.

no entramos al mundo sabiendo como amar solo con la habilidad de aprender como amar. ¿entonces como aprendemos a amar? juan dijo que amamos a dios porque él nos amo primero.
we didn't come into the world knowing how to love—only with the ability to learn how to love. so how do we learn to love? john stated that we love god because he first loved us.

¿y cómo nos amo cristo? “este es mi cuerpo… entregado por ustedes” (lc 22:19).
how did christ love us? "this is my body... given for you" (lk 22:19).

agape– es el amor que se entrega y busca el mayor bien de la persona a quien se dirige. es el amor divino de dios porque así dios nos amo y nos ama. el verso de oro de la biblia refleja este tipo de amor mejor:
agape – it is the love that gives itself and seeks the highest good of the person to whom it is directed. it is divine love god loved and loves us so. the golden verse of the bible reflects this kind of love the best:

como jesús, que nos amo "hasta la muerte", amar sin medida es amar sin tomar en consideración el precio, amar " hasta el dolor" y más allá todavía.
as jesus who loved us "unto death," loving without measure is to love without taking account of the cost, loving "until it hurts" and beyond.
