אני אני דברתי אף קראתיו הביאתיו והצליח דרכו׃
i, even i, have spoken; yea, i have called him: i have brought him, and he shall make his way prosperous.

אנכי אערבנו מידי תבקשנו אם לא הביאתיו אליך והצגתיו לפניך וחטאתי לך כל הימים׃
i will be surety for him; of my hand shalt thou require him: if i bring him not unto thee, and set him before thee, then let me bear the blame for ever:

אך אין לי לכתב עליו דבר נכון לאדנינו ובעבור זאת הביאתיו לפניכם וביותר לפניך המלך אגרפס למען יחקר וידעתי מה אכתב׃
of whom i have no certain thing to write unto my lord. wherefore i have brought him forth before you, and specially before thee, o king agrippa, that, after examination had, i might have somewhat to write.
