Հրեաների Տաղաւարահարաց տօնը մօտ էր:

then the jews took up stones again to stone him.
Հրեաները քարեր վերցրին, որ նրան քարկոծեն:

and the passover, a feast of the jews, was nigh.
Եւ մօտ էր զատիկը՝ հրեաների տօնը:

and began to salute him, hail, king of the jews!
եւ սկսեցին նրան ողջոյն տալ ու ասել. «Ողջո՜յն քեզ, հրեաների թագաւո՛րդ»:

and saying, if thou be the king of the jews, save thyself.
«Եթէ դու ես հրեաների թագաւորը, փրկի՛ր ինքդ քեզ»:

and the superscription of his accusation was written over, the king of the jews.
Եւ կար նրա դատապարտութեան մասին գրութիւն՝ գրուած այսպէս. «Հրեաների թագաւորն է»:

and set up over his head his accusation written, this is jesus the king of the jews.
Եւ նրա գլխի վերեւը դրեցին նրա յանցապարտութեան գիրը, թէ՝ սա՛ է Յիսուսը՝ հրեաների թագաւորը:

after this there was a feast of the jews; and jesus went up to jerusalem.
Դրանից յետոյ հրեաների տօնն էր, եւ Յիսուս Երուսաղէմ ելաւ:

and said, hail, king of the jews! and they smote him with their hands.
Եւ գալիս էին նրա մօտ ու ասում՝ ողջո՛յն, հրեաների՛ արքայ: Եւ նրան ապտակում էին:

and the jews marvelled, saying, how knoweth this man letters, having never learned?
Հրեաները զարմանում էին ու ասում. «Սա ինչպէ՞ս գիտէ Գրուածքները, քանի որ բնաւ չի սովորել»:

Սա այն Կայիափան էր, որ հրեաներին խրատ տուեց, թէ աւելի լաւ է, որ ժողովրդի համար մէկ մարդ մեռնի:

Եւ նրա խաչի վրայ մի գրութիւն կար՝ գրուած յունարէն, լատիներէն եւ եբրայերէն գրերով, թէ՝ սա՛ է հրեաների արքան:

after these things jesus walked in galilee: for he would not walk in jewry, because the jews sought to kill him.
Դրանից յետոյ Յիսուս շրջում էր Գալիլիայում, քանի որ չէր կամենում Հրէաստանում շրջել, որովհետեւ հրեայ առաջնորդները ուզում էին սպանել նրան:

Զատկի նախօրէն էր, եւ կէսօրուայ մօտ էր: Եւ նա հրեաներին ասաց. «Ահա ձեր թագաւորը՝ ձեզ»:
