and were baptized of him in jordan, confessing their sins.
մկրտւում էին նրանից Յորդանան գետում եւ խոստովանում էին իրենց մեղքերը:

then cometh jesus from galilee to jordan unto john, to be baptized of him.
Այն ժամանակ Յիսուս Գալիլիայից Յորդանան եկաւ, Յովհաննէսի մօտ՝ նրանից մկրտուելու:

then went out to him jerusalem, and all judaea, and all the region round about jordan,

and jesus being full of the holy ghost returned from jordan, and was led by the spirit into the wilderness,
Եւ Յիսուս Սուրբ Հոգով լի վերադարձաւ Յորդանանից. եւ Հոգով անապատ առաջնորդուեց

and he came into all the country about jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins;

and it came to pass in those days, that jesus came from nazareth of galilee, and was baptized of john in jordan.
Այն օրերին Յիսուս եկաւ Գալիլիայի Նազարէթ քաղաքից եւ Յովհաննէսից մկրտուեց Յորդանանում:

the land of zabulon, and the land of nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond jordan, galilee of the gentiles;
«Երկի՛ր Զաբուղոնի եւ երկի՛ր Նեփթաղիմի, ճանապա՛րհ ծովի, միւս ա՛փը Յորդանանի, Գալիլիա՛ հեթանոսների,

and it came to pass, that when jesus had finished these sayings, he departed from galilee, and came into the coasts of judaea beyond jordan;
Եւ երբ Յիսուս աւարտեց այս խօսքերը, Գալիլիայից տեղափոխուեց եւ եկաւ Հրէաստանի սահմանները, Յորդանանի միւս կողմը:

and they came to the threshingfloor of atad, which is beyond jordan, and there they mourned with a great and very sore lamentation: and he made a mourning for his father seven days.
Նրանք հասան Յորդանանի այն կողմը գտնուող Ատադի կալը եւ այնտեղ սաստիկ ողբ ու կոծ արեցին նրա վրայ: Նա հօր համար եօթը օր սուգ արեց:

and they came unto john, and said unto him, rabbi, he that was with thee beyond jordan, to whom thou barest witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all men come to him.
Նրանք եկան Յովհաննէսի մօտ եւ նրան ասացին. «Ռաբբի՛, նա, որ Յորդանանի միւս կողմում քեզ հետ էր, եւ որի մասին դու վկայեցիր, ահաւասիկ նա մկրտում է, եւ ամէնքը գալիս են նրա մօտ»:

and from jerusalem, and from idumaea, and from beyond jordan; and they about tyre and sidon, a great multitude, when they had heard what great things he did, came unto him.
նաեւ Հրէաստանից, Երուսաղէմից, Յորդանանի միւս կողմից, ինչպէս նաեւ Տիւրոսի եւ Սիդոնի շրջակայքից բազում ժողովուրդ, երբ լսում էր, թէ նա ինչքան բան է անում, գալիս էր նրա մօտ:

and he arose from thence, and cometh into the coasts of judaea by the farther side of jordan: and the people resort unto him again; and, as he was wont, he taught them again.
Յիսուս այնտեղից վեր կացաւ եկաւ Հրէաստանի սահմանները, Յորդանանի միւս կողմը. եւ ժողովուրդը դարձեալ գնում խռնւում էր նրա շուրջը, եւ նա, ինչպէս սովոր էր, նորից ուսուցանում էր նրանց:
