were it our will, we could crumble it to dry powder, and ye would be left in wonderment,
ئایا ئێوه ده‌یڕوێنن، یان هه‌ر ئێمه‌ین ڕوێنه‌ر و به‌رهه‌م هێنه‌ر

and when the wonderment departed from abraham and the glad tidings reached him, he pleaded with us for the nation of lot;
جاکاتێك ترسه‌که له دڵی ئیبراهیم ده‌رچوو (هێمن بۆوه‌) و مژده‌که‌شی بۆ هاتبوو، ئینجا ده‌ستی کرد به باس کردن و موجاده‌له ده‌رباره‌ی قه‌ومی (لوط).

were it our will, we could crumble it to dry pieces, and you would be regretful (or left in wonderment).
ئایا ئێوه ده‌یڕوێنن، یان هه‌ر ئێمه‌ین ڕوێنه‌ر و به‌رهه‌م هێنه‌ر

is it a matter of wonderment to men that we have sent our inspiration to a man from among themselves?- that he should warn mankind (of their danger), and give the good news to the believers that they have before their lord the lofty rank of truth. (but) say the unbelievers: "this is indeed an evident sorcerer!"
ئایا چ سه‌ر سوڕمانێکی بۆ خه‌ڵکی تێدایه‌که‌وه‌حی و نیگامان نارد بۆ پیاوێک له‌خۆیان که: خه‌ڵکی‌بێدار بکه‌ره‌وه‌و دایان بچڵه‌کێنه (تا خواناس و خواپه‌ره‌ست بن) و مژده‌بده‌به‌وانه‌ی باوه‌ڕیان هێناوه‌که‌بێگومان پله‌و پایه‌ی به‌رزو بڵندیان بۆ هه‌یه‌لای په‌روه‌ردگاریان وتیان: به‌ڕاستی ئه‌م (محمد ناوه‌) جادووگه‌رێکی ئاشکرایه‌.
