claudius lysias unto the most excellent governor felix sendeth greeting.
ⲔⲖⲀⲨⲆⲒⲞⲤ ⲖⲨⲤⲒⲀ ⲘⲠⲒⲔⲢⲀⲦⲒⲤⲦⲞⲤ ⲚϨⲎⲄⲈⲘⲰⲚ ⲪⲨⲖⲒⲜ ⲬⲈⲢⲈ.

(and this taxing was first made when cyrenius was governor of syria.)
ⲐⲀⲒ ⲦⲈ ϮⲀⲠⲞⲄⲢⲀⲪⲎ ⲚϨⲞⲨⲒϮ ⲈⲦⲀⲤϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲈϤⲞⲒ ⲚϨⲎⲄⲈⲘⲰⲚ ⲈϮⲤⲨⲢⲒⲀ ⲚϪⲈⲔⲨⲢⲒⲚⲚⲒⲞⲤ.

and he answered him to never a word; insomuch that the governor marvelled greatly.
ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲘⲠⲈϤⲈⲢⲞⲨⲰ ⲚⲀϤ ⲞⲨⲂⲈ ϨⲖⲒ ⲚⲤⲀϪⲒ ϨⲰⲤⲦⲈ ⲚⲦⲈϤⲈⲢϢⲪⲎⲢⲒ ⲚϪⲈⲠⲒϨⲎⲄⲈⲘⲰⲚ ⲈⲘⲀϢⲰ.

then the soldiers of the governor took jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers.

in damascus the governor under aretas the king kept the city of the damascenes with a garrison, desirous to apprehend me:
ϪⲈ ⲚϨⲢⲎⲒ ϦⲈⲚⲆⲀⲘⲀⲤⲔⲞⲤ ⲠⲀⲢⲬ ⲰⲚ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲒⲈⲐⲚⲞⲤ ⲚⲦⲈⲀⲢⲈⲦⲀ ⲠⲞⲨⲢⲞ ⲚⲀϤⲀⲢⲈϨ ⲈⲐⲂⲀⲔⲒ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲀ ⲆⲀⲘⲀⲤⲔⲞⲤ ⲈϤⲞⲨⲰϢ ⲈⲦⲀϨⲞⲒ.

and when the governor had read the letter, he asked of what province he was. and when he understood that he was of cilicia;

and the governor said, why, what evil hath he done? but they cried out the more, saying, let him be crucified.

and after five days ananias the high priest descended with the elders, and with a certain orator named tertullus, who informed the governor against paul.

and delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favour and wisdom in the sight of pharaoh king of egypt; and he made him governor over egypt and all his house.

behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth.

and they watched him, and sent forth spies, which should feign themselves just men, that they might take hold of his words, that so they might deliver him unto the power and authority of the governor.

then paul, after that the governor had beckoned unto him to speak, answered, forasmuch as i know that thou hast been of many years a judge unto this nation, i do the more cheerfully answer for myself:
ⲀϤⲈⲢⲞⲨⲰ ⲚϪⲈⲠⲀⲨⲖⲞⲤ ⲈⲦⲀϤϬⲰⲢⲈⲘ ⲈⲢⲞϤ ⲚϪⲈⲠⲒϨⲎⲄⲈⲘⲰⲚ ⲈⲐⲢⲈϤⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲈⲒⲤⲰⲞⲨⲚ ⲘⲘⲞⲔ ⲒⲤ ⲞⲨⲘⲎϢ ⲚⲢⲞⲘⲠⲒ ⲈⲔⲞⲒ ⲚⲢⲈϤϮϨⲀⲠ ⲈⲠⲀⲒϢⲖⲰⲖ ϮⲚⲀⲈⲢⲞⲨⲰ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲞⲨⲚⲞϤ ⲚϨⲎⲦ ⲈϨⲢⲎⲒ ⲈϪⲰⲒ.

now in the fifteenth year of the reign of tiberius caesar, pontius pilate being governor of judaea, and herod being tetrarch of galilee, and his brother philip tetrarch of ituraea and of the region of trachonitis, and lysanias the tetrarch of abilene,

or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.
