he verily deemed that he would never return ( unto allah ) .
እርሱ ( ወደ አላህ ) የማይመለስ መኾኑን አስቧልና ፡ ፡

deemed ye then that we had created you for naught , and that ye would not be returned unto us ?
« የፈጠርናችሁ ለከንቱ መኾኑን እናንተም ወደኛ የማትመለሱ መኾናችሁን ጠረጠራችሁን » ( ለከንቱ የፈጠርናችሁ መሰላችሁን )

and on the day when he will call them and say : where are those whom you deemed to be my associates ?
( አላህ ) የሚጠራባቸውንና እነዚያ ተጋሪዎቼ ትሏቸው የነበራችሁት የት ናቸው የሚልበትን ቀን ( አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡

and he and his hosts were haughty in the land without right , and deemed that they would never be brought back to us .
እርሱም ሰራዊቶቹም በምድር ላይ ያለ አግባብ ኮሩ ፡ ፡ እነርሱም ወደእኛ የማይመለሱ መኾናቸውን ጠረጠሩ ፡ ፡

ጆሮዎቻችሁ ዓይኖቻችሁና ቆዳዎቻችሁም በእናንተ ላይ ከመመስከራቸው የምትደበቁ አልነበራችሁም ፡ ፡ ግን አላህ ከምትሠሩት ብዙውን አያውቅም ብላችሁ ጠረጠራችሁ ፡ ፡

and we desired to bestow a favor upon those who were deemed weak in the land , and to make them the imams , and to make them the heirs ,
በእነዚያም በምድር ውስጥ በተጨቆኑ ላይ ልንለግስ ፣ መሪዎችም ልናደርጋቸው ወራሾችም ልናደርጋቸው እንሻለን ፡ ፡

but when the fourteenth night was come, as we were driven up and down in adria, about midnight the shipmen deemed that they drew near to some country;
በአሥራ አራተኛውም ሌሊት በአድርያ ባሕር ወዲህና ወዲያ ስንነዳ፥ መርከበኞች በእኩለ ሌሊት ወደ አንድ ምድር የቀረቡ መሰላቸው።

በምላሶቻችሁ በምትቅበባሉት ጊዜ ለእናንተም በእርሱ ዕውቀት በሌላችሁ ነገር በአፎቻችሁ በተናገራችሁና እርሱ አላህ ዘንድ ከባድ ኀጢአት ኾኖ ሳለ ቀላል አድርጋችሁ ባሰባችሁት ጊዜ ( ከባድ ቅጣት በነካችሁ ነበር ) ፡ ፡

and remember when you were few , deemed weak in the land , fearing lest people might carry you off by force , but he sheltered you and strengthened you with his aid and gave you of the good things that you may give thanks .
እናንተም በምድር ላይ የተናቃችሁ ጥቂቶች ኾናችሁ ሳላችሁ ሰዎች ሊነጥቁዋችሁ የምትፈሩ ስትኾኑ ያስጠጋችሁን በእርዳታውም ያበረታችሁን ከመልካሞች ሲሳዮችም ታመሰግኑ ዘንድ የሰጣችሁን አስታውሱ ፡ ፡

and recall when you were few in numbers and deemed weak in the land , fearful lest people do away with you . then he provided you refuge , strengthened you with his help , and provided you sustenance with good things that you may be grateful .
እናንተም በምድር ላይ የተናቃችሁ ጥቂቶች ኾናችሁ ሳላችሁ ሰዎች ሊነጥቁዋችሁ የምትፈሩ ስትኾኑ ያስጠጋችሁን በእርዳታውም ያበረታችሁን ከመልካሞች ሲሳዮችም ታመሰግኑ ዘንድ የሰጣችሁን አስታውሱ ፡ ፡

but when he saw that their hands were not extended towards it , he deemed them strange and conceived fear of them . they said : fear not , surely we are sent to lut 's people .
