he saith : will ye look ?
እናንተ ተመልካቾች ናችሁን ? ይላል ፡ ፡

and man saith : what aileth her ?
ሰውም ምን ኾነች ? ባለ ጊዜ ፤

they said : even so saith thy lord . lo !
እንደዚህ ጌታሽ ብሏል ፡ ፡ « እነሆ እርሱ ጥበባ ዐዋቂ ነውና » አሏት ፡ ፡

and he saith : i have destroyed vast wealth :
« ብዙን ገንዘብ አጠፋሁ » ይላል ፡ ፡

he saith : ' i have wasted riches plenteous .
« ብዙን ገንዘብ አጠፋሁ » ይላል ፡ ፡

and jesus saith unto him, i will come and heal him.
ኢየሱስም። እኔ መጥቼ እፈውሰዋለሁ አለው።

a speaker of them saith : lo ! i had a comrade
ከእነርሱ የሆነ ተናጋሪ ይላል « እኔ ጓደኛ ነበረኝ ፡ ፡

and he saith unto them, whose is this image and superscription?
እርሱም። ይህች መልክ ጽሕፈቲቱስ የማን ናት? አላቸው።

jesus saith unto her, go, call thy husband, and come hither.
ኢየሱስም። ሂጂና ባልሽን ጠርተሽ ወደዚህ ነዪ አላት።

he that hath an ear, let him hear what the spirit saith unto the churches.
መንፈስ ለአብያተ ክርስቲያናት የሚለውን ጆሮ ያለው ይስማ።

he saith : by allah , thou verily didst all but cause my ruin ,
ይላል « በአላህ እምላለሁ ፤ በእርግጥ ልታጠፋኝ ቀርበህ ነበር ፡ ፡

when our revelations are rehearsed unto him , he saith : fables of the ancients .
በእርሱ ላይ አንቀጾቻችን በሚነበቡ ጊዜ « የመጀመሪያዎቹ ሰዎች ተረቶች ናቸው » ይላል ፡ ፡

let thy lord make an end of us . he saith : lo ! here ye must remain .
« ማሊክ ሆይ ! ጌታህ በኛ ላይ ( በሞት ) ይፍረድ ፡ ፡ » እያሉ ይጣራሉም ፡ ፡ « እናንተ ( በቅጣቱ ውስጥ ) ዘላለም ነዋሪዎች ናችሁ » ይላቸዋል ፡ ፡

and he saith : o my lord ! lo ! these are a folk who believe not .
( ነቢዩ ) ጌታዬ ሆይ ! እነዚህ የማያምኑ ሕዝቦች ናቸው ፤ የማለቱም ( ዕውቀት አላህ ዘንድ ነው ) ፡ ፡

and man saith : when i am dead , shall i forsooth be brought forth alive ?
ሰውም « በሞትኩ ጊዜ ወደፊት ሕያው ኾኜ ( ከመቃብር ) እወጣለሁን » ይላል ፡ ፡

and when our revelations are rehearsed unto him , she saith : ' fables of the ancients !
አንቀጾቻችን በእርሱ ላይ በተነበቡ ጊዜ « የመጀመሪያዎቹ ሰዎች ተረቶች ናቸው » ይላል ፡ ፡

but they have not all obeyed the gospel. for esaias saith, lord, who hath believed our report?
ነገር ግን ሁሉ ለምሥራቹ ቃል አልታዘዙም። ኢሳይያስ። ጌታ ሆይ፥ ምስክርነታችንን ማን አመነ? ብሎአልና።

hast thou seen him who disbelieveth in our revelations and saith : assuredly i shall be given wealth and children ?
ያንንም በአንቀጾቻችን የካደውን « ( በትንሣኤ ቀን ) ገንዘብም ልጅም በእርግጥ እስሰጣለሁ ያለውንም አየህን »

who , when thou readest unto him our revelations , saith : ( mere ) fables of the men of old .
አንቀጾቻችን በእርሱ ላይ በተነበቡ ጊዜ « የመጀመሪያዎቹ ሰዎች ተረቶች ናቸው » ይላል ፡ ፡

and as soon as he was come, he goeth straightway to him, and saith, master, master; and kissed him.
መጥቶም ወዲያው ወደ እርሱ ቀረበና። መምህር ሆይ፥ መምህር ሆይ፥ ብሎ ሳመው፤
