the threatened hour is nigh .
ቀራቢይቱ ( ኅልፈተ ዓለም ) ቀረበች ፡ ፡

this is hell with which you were threatened .
ይህቺ ያቺ ትቀጠሩዋት የነበረችው ገሀነም ናት ፡ ፡

far , far is that which you are threatened with .
« ያ የምትስፈራሩበት ነገር ራቀ ፤ በጣም ራቀ ፡ ፡

lo ! that wherewith ye are threatened is indeed true ,
የምትቀጠሩት ( ትንሣኤ ) እውነት ነው ፡ ፡

and the trumpet is blown . this is the threatened day .
በቀንዱም ውስጥ ይንነፋል ፡ ፡ ያ ( ቀን ) የዛቻው ( መፈጸሚያ ) ቀን ነው ፡ ፡

then there comes to them that with which they are threatened ,
ከዚያም ያ ይስፈራሩበት የነበሩት ቢመጣባቸው ፤

and in the heaven is your sustenance and what you are threatened with .
ሲሳያችሁም የምትቀጠሩትም ( ፍዳና ምንዳ ) በሰማይ ውስጥ ነው ፡ ፡

woe to the disbelievers when the day with which they have been threatened comes !
ለነዚያም ለካዱት ከዚያ ከሚቀጠሩት ቀናቸው ወዮላቸው ፡

say thou ; my lord ! if thou wilt shew me that wherewith they are threatened .
( ሙሐመድ ሆይ ! ) በል « ጌታዬ ሆይ ! የሚያስፈራሩበትን ( ቅጣት ) ብታሳየኝ ፡ ፡

therefore woe to those who disbelieve because of their day which they are threatened with .
ለነዚያም ለካዱት ከዚያ ከሚቀጠሩት ቀናቸው ወዮላቸው ፡

say : o my lord ! if thou shouldst make me see what they are threatened with :
( ሙሐመድ ሆይ ! ) በል « ጌታዬ ሆይ ! የሚያስፈራሩበትን ( ቅጣት ) ብታሳየኝ ፡ ፡

surely what you are threatened with must come to pass and you cannot escape ( it ) .
የምትቀጠሩት ሁሉ በእርግጥ መጪ ነው ፡ ፡ እናንተም አምላጮች አይደላችሁም ፡ ፡

and indeed we are able to show you ( o muhammad saw ) that with which we have threatened them .
እኛም የምናስፈራራቸውን ነገር ልናሳይህ በእርግጥ ቻዮች ነን ፡ ፡

the trumpet will certainly be sounded . this will be the day ( about which you ) were threatened .
በቀንዱም ውስጥ ይንነፋል ፡ ፡ ያ ( ቀን ) የዛቻው ( መፈጸሚያ ) ቀን ነው ፡ ፡

የዓለማችን 27 በመቶ ያክል ቋንቋዎች (6000 ስድስት ሺሕ ያህል) ይጠፋሉ የሚል ስጋት አለ፡፡

say : i do not know whether that with which you are threatened be nigh or whether my lord will appoint for it a term :
« የምትስፈራሩበት ነገር ቅርብ ወይም ጌታየ ለእርሱ የተወሰነ ጊዜን የሚያደርግለት ( ሩቅ ) መኾኑን አላውቅም » በላቸው ፡ ፡

therefore leave them alone to go on with the false discourses and to sport until they come face to face with that day of theirs with which they are threatened ;
ያንንም የሚስፈራሩበትን ቀናቸውን እስከሚገናኙ ድረስ ተዋቸው ፡ ፡ ይዋኙ ይጫወቱም ፡ ፡

( muhammad ) , leave them alone to dispute and play until they face the day with which they have been threatened :
ያንንም የሚስፈራሩበትን ቀናቸውን እስከሚገናኙ ድረስ ተዋቸው ፡ ፡ ይዋኙ ይጫወቱም ፡ ፡

but if they turn back , say : i have given you warning in fairness and i do not know whether what you are threatened with is near or far ;
እምቢም ቢሉ ( በማወቅ ) በእኩልነት ላይ ኾነን ( የታዘዝኩትን ) አስታውቅኋችሁ ፡ ፡ « የምትስፈራሩበትም ነገር ቅርብ ወይም ሩቅ መኾኑን አላውቅም ፤ » በላቸው ፡ ፡
