negli anni ‘960, le mie zie aiutarono i miei cugini a costruire una casa con quattro appartamenti.
in the 1960s my aunts helped my cousins build a home with four apartments.

allora ho pensato di presentare mia madre, le mie zie e tutto questo bel mondo attraverso immagini simboliche dei tempi passati.
so i thought of presenting my mother, my aunt and all of these beautiful people in these lovely pictures of former times.

molti miei amici e parenti hanno un e-mail così io mi tengo in contatto via computer come via telefono. spedisco circa 30 biglietti natalizi ogni anno in piemonte. devo dire comunque che le mie zie ed io siamo l’eccezione, non la regola.

after she came to america, my maternal grandmother had another child, a female, that my mother never saw. i was in the usaf in the mid 1950s, and was stationed at etain-rouves air force base, in france, and visited my aunts and uncles in 1955 in tonco.
