let my servants answer my call and believe in me so that perhaps they may know the right direction.

ina karɓa kiran mai kira idan ya kirã ni. sabõda haka su nẽmi karɓawata, kuma su yi ĩmãni da ni: tsammãninsu, su shiryu.

to the unbelievers the lord will say, "were not our revelations recited to you and did not you arrogantly reject them? you were a sinful people".
kuma amma waɗanda suka kãfirtã (allah zai ce musu): "shin, ãyõyĩnã ba su kasance anã karãnta su ã kanku ba sai kuka kangare, kuma kuka kasance mutãne mãsu laifi?"

so why did not those [fake deities] help them whom they had taken as gods besides allah, as a means of nearness [to him]?
to, don mẽne ne waɗanda suka riƙa, baicin allah, abũbuwan yi. wa baiko, gumaka, ba su taimake su ba?

when you [first] heard about it, why did not the faithful, men and women, think well of their folks, and say, ‘this is an obvious calumny’?
don me a lõkacin da kuka ji shi mũminai maza da mũminai mãta ba su yi zaton alhẽri game da kansu ba kuma su ce: "wannan ƙiren ƙarya ne bayyananne?"

it was not necessary for the believers to go forth all together (to receive religious instruction), but why did not a party of them go forth that they may grow in religious understanding, and that they may warn their people when they return to them, so that they may avoid (erroneous attitudes)?
