وسلمون ولد بوعز وبوعز ولد عوبيد
and salmon begat boaz, and boaz begat obed,

وبوعز ولد عوبيد وعوبيد ولد يسّى.
and boaz begat obed, and obed begat jesse,

وزاباد ولد افلال وافلال ولد عوبيد
and zabad begat ephlal, and ephlal begat obed,

ولم ينقل داود التابوت اليه الى مدينة داود بل مال به الى بيت عوبيد ادوم الجتّي.
so david brought not the ark home to himself to the city of david, but carried it aside into the house of obed-edom the gittite.

وبقي تابوت الرب في بيت عوبيد ادوم الجتّي ثلاثة اشهر. وبارك الرب عوبيد ادوم وكل بيته
and the ark of the lord continued in the house of obed-edom the gittite three months: and the lord blessed obed-edom, and all his household.

وبقي تابوت الله عند بيت عوبيد ادوم في بيته ثلاثة اشهر وبارك الرب بيت عوبيد ادوم وكل ما له
and the ark of god remained with the family of obed-edom in his house three months. and the lord blessed the house of obed-edom, and all that he had.

كل هؤلاء من بني عوبيد ادوم هم وبنوهم واخوتهم اصحاب بأس بقوة في الخدمة اثنان وستون لعوبيد ادوم.
all these of the sons of obed-edom: they and their sons and their brethren, able men for strength for the service, were threescore and two of obed-edom.

وفي السنة السابعة تشدد يهوياداع واخذ معه في العهد رؤساء المئات عزريا بن يروحام واسماعيل بن يهوحانان وعزريا بن عوبيد ومعسيا بن عدايا واليشافاط بن زكري
and in the seventh year jehoiada strengthened himself, and took the captains of hundreds, azariah the son of jeroham, and ishmael the son of jehohanan, and azariah the son of obed, and maaseiah the son of adaiah, and elishaphat the son of zichri, into covenant with him.

فأخبر الملك داود وقيل له قد بارك الرب بيت عوبيد ادوم وكل ما له بسبب تابوت الله. فذهب داود واصعد تابوت الله من بيت عوبيد ادوم الى مدينة داود بفرح.
and it was told king david, saying, the lord hath blessed the house of obed-edom, and all that pertaineth unto him, because of the ark of god. so david went and brought up the ark of god from the house of obed-edom into the city of david with gladness.

آساف الراس وزكريا ثانيه ويعيئيل وشميراموث ويحيئيل ومتثايا واليآب وبنايا وعوبيد ادوم ويعيئيل بآلات رباب وعيدان. وكان آساف يصوّت بالصنوج.
asaph the chief, and next to him zechariah, jeiel, and shemiramoth, and jehiel, and mattithiah, and eliab, and benaiah, and obed-edom: and jeiel with psalteries and with harps; but asaph made a sound with cymbals;
