Սակայն չգիտէր, թէ ինչ էր խօսում, որովհետեւ զարհուրած էին:

but he saith unto them, it is i; be not afraid.
Եւ նա ասաց նրանց. «Ես եմ, մի՛ վախեցէք»:

but they understood not that saying, and were afraid to ask him.
Բայց նրանք չէին հասկանում այդ խօսքը եւ վախենում էին նրան հարցնել:

when pilate therefore heard that saying, he was the more afraid;
Երբ Պիղատոսը այս խօսքերը լսեց, աւելի եւս վախեցաւ:

Եւ Յիսուս, մօտենալով, դիպաւ նրանց ու ասաց. «Ոտքի՛ ելէք եւ մի՛ վախեցէք»:

and when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid.
Երբ աշակերտները այս լսեցին, իրենց երեսի վրայ ընկան եւ սաստիկ վախեցան:

Բայց ասում եմ ձեզ՝ իմ սիրելիներին, մի՛ զարհուրէք նրանցից, որ մարմինն են սպանում եւ դրանից յետոյ աւելի բան անել չեն կարող,

but straightway jesus spake unto them, saying, be of good cheer; it is i; be not afraid.
Յիսուս իսկոյն խօսեց նրանց հետ ու ասաց. «Սրտապնդուեցէ՛ք, ես եմ, մի՛ վախեցէք»:

as soon as jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, be not afraid, only believe.
Իսկ Յիսուս, երբ լսեց ասուած խօսքը, ժողովրդապետին ասաց. «Մի՛ վախեցիր, այլ միայն հաւատա՛»:

and as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, why seek ye the living among the dead?
Եւ երբ կանայք զարհուրեցին ու իրենց երեսը գետին խոնարհեցրին, մարդիկ ասացին. «Ինչո՞ւ ողջին մեռելների մէջ էք փնտռում:

and jacob answered and said to laban, because i was afraid: for i said, peradventure thou wouldest take by force thy daughters from me.
Պատասխան տուեց Յակոբն ու ասաց Լաբանին. «Որովհետեւ վախեցայ: Մտածեցի, թէ գուցէ դու քո դուստրերին, նաեւ իմ ողջ ունեցուածքը կը խլես ինձնից»:

and he was afraid, and said, how dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of god, and this is the gate of heaven.
Նա վախեցաւ եւ ասաց. «Սարսռազդեցիկ է այս վայրը, եւ սա այլ բան չէ, եթէ ոչ Աստծու տունը, իսկ սա էլ երկնքի դուռն է»:

and they went out quickly, and fled from the sepulchre; for they trembled and were amazed: neither said they any thing to any man; for they were afraid.
Եւ երբ այս լսեցին, ելան ու փախան գերեզմանից, քանի որ սարսափահար էին եղել. եւ ոչ ոքի բան չասացին, որովհետեւ վախենում էին:

and they come to jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.
Եկան Յիսուսի մօտ եւ տեսան դիւահարին, որ նստել էր՝ հագնուած եւ զգաստացած, նրան, որ լեգէոն ունէր. եւ զարհուրեցին:

moreover he said, i am the god of thy father, the god of abraham, the god of isaac, and the god of jacob. and moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon god.
Եւ աւելացրեց. «Ես քո հօր Աստուածն եմ, Աբրահամի Աստուածը, Իսահակի Աստուածը ու Յակոբի Աստուածը»: Եւ Մովսէսը շուռ տուեց իր երեսը, որովհետեւ վախենում էր նայել Աստծուն:

and he said unto his brethren, my money is restored; and, lo, it is even in my sack: and their heart failed them, and they were afraid, saying one to another, what is this that god hath done unto us?
Այն ժամանակ նա ասաց իր եղբայրներին. «Դրամը վերադարձրել են ինձ, ահա իմ պարկի մէջ է»: Նրանք զարմացան, իրար անցան ու ասացին. «Այս ի՞նչ արեց մեզ Աստուած»:
