আপনাকে ক ্ লেশ দেবার জন ্ য আমি আপনার প ্ রতি কোরআন অবতীর ্ ণ করিনি ।

allah said : what prevented thee , that thou shouldst not prostrate thyself , when i bade thee ? he said .
আল ্ লাহ বললেনঃ আমি যখন নির ্ দেশ দিয়েছি , তখন তোকে কিসে সেজদা করতে বারণ করল ? সে বললঃ আমি তার চাইতে শ ্ রেষ ্ ট । আপনি আমাকে আগুন দ ্ বারা সৃষ ্ টি করেছেন এবং তাকে সৃষ ্ টি করেছেন মাটির দ ্ বারা ।

" and say to him , ' wouldst thou that thou shouldst be purified ( from sin ) ? -
''তারপর বলো -- 'তোমার কি আগ্রহ আছে যে তুমি পবিত্র হও?’

and if we willed , we would surely shew them unto thee , so that thou shouldst surely know them by their marks . and thou shalt surely know them by the mode of their speech .
আমি ইচ ্ ছা করলে আপনাকে তাদের সাথে পরিচিত করে দিতাম । তখন আপনি তাদের চেহারা দেখে তাদেরকে চিনতে পারতেন এবং আপনি অবশ ্ যই কথার ভঙ ্ গিতে তাদেরকে চিনতে পারবেন । আল ্ লাহ তোমাদের কর ্ মসমূহের খবর রাখেন ।

and we sent down the book to thee for the express purpose , that thou shouldst make clear to them those things in which they differ , and that it should be a guide and a mercy to those who believe .
আমি আপনার প ্ রতি এ জন ্ যেই গ ্ রন ্ থ নাযিল করেছি , যাতে আপনি সরল পথ প ্ রদর ্ শনের জন ্ যে তাদের কে পরিষ ্ কার বর ্ ণনা করে দেন , যে বিষয়ে তারা মতবিরোধ করছে এবং ঈমানদারকে ক ্ ষমা করার জন ্ যে ।

shouldst thou torment them , then verily they are thine creatures ; and shouldst thou forgive them , then verily thou ! thow art the mighty , the wise .
''তুমি যদি তাদের শাস্তি দাও তবে তারা তো তোমারই দাস, আর যদি তাদের তুমি পরিত্রাণ করো তবে তুমিই তো মহাশক্তিশালী, পরমজ্ঞানী।’’

and if we would , we could show them unto thee ( muhammad ) so that thou shouldst know them surely by their marks . and thou shalt know them by the burden of their talk .
আমি ইচ ্ ছা করলে আপনাকে তাদের সাথে পরিচিত করে দিতাম । তখন আপনি তাদের চেহারা দেখে তাদেরকে চিনতে পারতেন এবং আপনি অবশ ্ যই কথার ভঙ ্ গিতে তাদেরকে চিনতে পারবেন । আল ্ লাহ তোমাদের কর ্ মসমূহের খবর রাখেন ।

and verily they had well-nigh tempted thee away from that which we have revealed unto thee , that thou shouldst fabricate regarding something else ; and then surely they would have taken thee as a friend !
আর অবশ ্ যই তারা মতলব করেছিল তোমার কাছে আমরা যা প ্ রত ্ যাদেশ দিয়েছি তা থেকে তোমাকে বিচ ্ যুত করতে , যেন তুমি আমাদের বিরুদ ্ ধে তার পরিবর ্ তে অন ্ য কিছু জাল কর , আর তখন তারা তোমাকে নিশ ্ চয়ই গ ্ রহণ করবে অন ্ তরঙ ্ গ বান ্ ধবরূপে ।

and do not drive away those who call upon their lord at morning and evening desiring his countenance ; nothing of their account falls upon thee , and nothing of thy account falls upon them , that thou shouldst drive them away , and so become one of the evildoers .
আর তাদের তাড়িয়ে দিও না যারা তাদের প ্ রভুকে ডাকে প ্ রাতে ও সন ্ ধ ্ যায় , তারা চায় তাঁরই শুভ মুখ । তোমার উপরে তাদের হিসাবপত ্ রের কোন দায়দায়িত ্ ব নেই , আর তোমার হিসেবপত ্ রের কোনো দায়দায়িত ্ ব তাদের উপরে নেই , কাজেই যদি তাদের তাড়িয়ে দাও তবে তুমি হবে অন ্ যায়কারীদের অন ্ তর ্ ভুক ্ ত ।
