have you not seen the people who were given a share of the book, but who purchased only error, and wish that you also go astray?
ئایا نه‌تڕوانیوه‌ته ئه‌وانه‌ی که شاره‌زایی هه‌ندێک له کتێبه ئاسمانیه‌کانیان دراوه‌تێ، ئه‌وانه گومڕایی ده‌کڕن و ده‌یانه‌وێت ئێوه‌ش گومڕاو سه‌رلێشێواو بن.

ئایا نه‌تڕوانیوه‌ته ئه‌وانه‌ی که شاره‌زایی هه‌ندێک له کتێبه ئاسمانیه‌کانیان دراوه‌تێ، ئه‌وانه گومڕایی ده‌کڕن و ده‌یانه‌وێت ئێوه‌ش گومڕاو سه‌رلێشێواو بن.
those are the ones who have purchased error [in exchange] for guidance, so their transaction has brought no profit, nor were they guided.

ده‌با بجگێت له پێناوی خوادا، ئه‌وانه‌ی ژیانی دنیا ده‌فرۆشن به‌رۆژی دوایی، جا هه‌ر که‌س بجه‌نگێت له‌پێناوی خوادا ئه‌وه ئه‌گه‌ر بکوژرێت و شه‌هید ببێت، یان سه‌رکه‌وتن به‌ده‌ست بهێنێت، ئه‌وه له‌ئاینده‌دا پاداشتی گه‌وره و بێ سنووری پێده‌به‌خشین.
(and remember) when allah took a covenant from those who were given the scripture (jews and christians) to make it (the news of the coming of prophet muhammad saw and the religious knowledge) known and clear to mankind, and not to hide it, but they threw it away behind their backs, and purchased with it some miserable gain! and indeed worst is that which they bought.
(یاد بێنه‌ره‌وه) کاتێک خوا په‌یمانی وه‌رگرت له‌وانه‌ی کتێبیان پێ به‌خشراوه که ڕوونی بکه‌نه‌وه بۆ خه‌ڵکی و مه‌رامه‌کانی باس بکه‌ن و نه‌یشارنه‌وه، که‌چی خستیانه پشت خۆیان و به نرخێکی هه‌رزان فرۆشتیان (ئه‌گه‌ر هه‌موو دنیاش بێت، دینی بۆ بفرۆشی هه‌رزان فرۆشراوه و زه‌ره‌رێکی بێ سنووره) ئای که شتێکی بێ نرخیان کڕیوه و ده‌ستیان که‌وتووه.
