اور (اے لوگو!) یہ دنیا کی زندگی کھیل اور تماشے کے سوا کچھ نہیں ہے، اور حقیقت میں آخرت کا گھر ہی (صحیح) زندگی ہے۔ کاش! وہ لوگ (یہ راز) جانتے ہوتے،

had we desired to take up some diversion we would have taken it up with ourselves, were we to do [so].
اور اگر ہم کھیل ہی بنانا چاہتے تو اپنے پا س کی چیزوں کو بناتے اگر ہمیں یہی کرنا ہوتا

had we wished to make a diversion, we would have made it from before ourselves: by no means would we do (it).
اور اگر ہم کھیل ہی بنانا چاہتے تو اپنے پا س کی چیزوں کو بناتے اگر ہمیں یہی کرنا ہوتا

[this] worldly life is only amusement and diversion. and if you believe and fear allah, he will give you your rewards and not ask you for your properties.
بس دنیا کی زندگی تو محض کھیل اور تماشا ہے، اور اگر تم ایمان لے آؤ اور تقوٰی اختیار کرو تو وہ تمہیں تمہارے (اعمال پر کامل) ثواب عطا فرمائے گا اور تم سے تمہارے مال طلب نہیں کرے گا،

and this worldly life is not but diversion and amusement. and indeed, the home of the hereafter - that is the [eternal] life, if only they knew.
اور (اے لوگو!) یہ دنیا کی زندگی کھیل اور تماشے کے سوا کچھ نہیں ہے، اور حقیقت میں آخرت کا گھر ہی (صحیح) زندگی ہے۔ کاش! وہ لوگ (یہ راز) جانتے ہوتے،

had we intended to take a diversion, we could have taken it from [what is] with us - if [indeed] we were to do so.
اور اگر ہم کھیل ہی بنانا چاہتے تو اپنے پا س کی چیزوں کو بناتے اگر ہمیں یہی کرنا ہوتا
