so how will you, if you persist in unbelief, save yourself from a day which will turn the children gray-haired?

have you not heard of him who argued with abraham about his lord because god had bestowed the kingdom upon him? abraham said, "my lord is the one who gives life and brings death." he answered, "i [too] give life and bring death!" abraham said, "god brings up the sun from the east, so bring it up yourself from the west." then the disbeliever was confounded. god does not guide the wrongdoers.
அல்லாஹ் தனக்கு அரசாட்சி கொடுத்ததின் காரணமாக (ஆணவங்கொண்டு), இப்ராஹீமிடத்தில் அவருடைய இறைவனைப் பற்றித் தர்க்கம் செய்தவனை (நபியே!) நீர் கவனித்தீரா? இப்ராஹீம் கூறினார்; "எவன் உயிர் கொடுக்கவும், மரணம் அடையும்படியும் செய்கிறானோ, அவனே என்னுடைய ரப்பு(இறைவன்)" என்று. அதற்கவன், "நானும் உயிர் கொடுக்கிறேன்;, மரணம் அடையும் படியும் செய்கிறேன்" என்று கூறினான்; (அப்பொழுது) இப்ராஹீம் கூறினார்; "திட்டமாக அல்லாஹ் சூரியனைக் கிழக்கில் உதிக்கச் செய்கிறான்;, நீ அதை மேற்குத் திசையில் உதிக்கும்படிச் செய்!" என்று. (அல்லாஹ்வை) நிராகரித்த அவன், திகைத்து வாயடைப்பட்டுப் போனான்;. தவிர, அல்லாஹ் அநியாயம் செய்யும்கூட்டத்தாருக்கு நேர் வழி காண்பிப்பதில்லை.
