the chiefs among them departed saying: go, and persevere in your gods; verily this is a thing designed.
"(இவரை விட்டும் விலகிச்) செல்லுங்கள். உங்கள் தெய்வங்களை உறுதியுடன் பற்றிக் கொள்ளுங்கள். நிச்சயமாக இதில் (இவரது பிரச்சாரத்தில்) ஏதோ (சுயநலம்) நாடப்படுகிறது" என்று அவர்களின் தலைவர்கள் (கூறிச்) சென்றனர்.

and when the caravan had departed, their father said: surely feel the smell of yusuf, if ye think not that i am doting.
(அவர்களுடைய) ஒட்டக வாகனங்கள் (மிஸ்ரை விட்டுப்) பிரிந்த நேரத்தில், அவர்களுடைய தந்தை, "நிச்சயமாக நான் யூஸுஃபின் வாடையை நுகர்கிறேன்; (இதன் காரணமாக) என்னை நீங்கள் பைத்தியக்காரன் என்று எண்ணாமல் இருக்க வேண்டுமே!" என்றார்.

and when the caravan had departed, their father said: most surely i perceive the greatness of yusuf, unless you pronounce me to be weak in judgment.

and if we let him taste favour after harm hath touched him, he saith: the ills have departed from me; verily he becometh elated, boastful.

soon after hearing this moses departed in a state of fear, looking around as one in apprehension and prayed: "my lord, deliver me from these unjust people."

"நிச்சயமாக, (நீர் இங்கு வந்த) பின்னர் உம்முடைய சமூகத்தாரைச் சோதித்தோம்; இன்னும் அவர்களை 'ஸாமிரி' வழிகெடுத்து விட்டான்" என்று (அல்லாஹ்) கூறினான்.
