በቀጥታም መንገድ ላይ ነህ ፡ ፡
on a straight path ,

አንተ በእርግጥ ከመልክተኞቹ ነህ ፡ ፡
indeed you , [ o muhammad ] , are from among the messengers ,

፡ -አንተ ከሚቆዩት ነህ አለው ፡ ፡
( allah ) said : " be thou among those who have respite . "

እኔም መልሼ። ጌታ ሆይ፥ አንተ ማን ነህ? አልሁ። እርሱም። አንተ የምታሳድደኝ የናዝሬቱ ኢየሱስ እኔ ነኝ አለኝ።
and i answered, who art thou, lord? and he said unto me, i am jesus of nazareth, whom thou persecutest.

ጌታ ሆይ፥ ማን ነህ? አለው። እርሱም። አንተ የምታሳድደኝ እኔ ኢየሱስ ነኝ፤ የመውጊያውን ብረት ብትቃወም ለአንተ ይብስብሃል አለው።
and he said, who art thou, lord? and the lord said, i am jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

እናንተስ እኔ ማን እንደ ሆንሁ ትላላችሁ? አላቸው። ጴጥሮስም መልሶ። ከእግዚአብሔር የተቀባህ ነህ አለ።
he said unto them, but whom say ye that i am? peter answering said, the christ of god.

አዩብንም ( ኢዮብን ) ጌታውን « እኔ መከራ አገኘኝ አንተም ከአዛኞች ሁሉ ይበልጥ አዛኝ ነህ » ሲል በተጣራ ጊዜ ( አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡
( remember ) job when he called to his lord : " i am afflicted with distress , and you are the most compassionate of all . "
