ፀሐይ

and by the night as it envelopes the sun ;
በሌሊቱም በሸፈናት ጊዜ ፤

when the sun is covered ,
ፀሐይ በተጠቀለለች ጊዜ ፤

by the sun and its brightness
በፀሐይና በብርሃኗ እምላለሁ ፡ ፡

and the sun as a torch .
አላህም ከምድር ማብቀልን አበቀላችሁ ፡ ፡

and by the day as it displays the sun 's glory ,
በቀኑም ( ፀሐይን ) በገለጻት ጊዜ ፤

and the sun and moon are conjoined ,
ፀሐይና ጨረቃም በተሰበሰቡ ጊዜ ፡ ፡

and by the night as it conceals it ( the sun ) ;
በሌሊቱም በሸፈናት ጊዜ ፤

and the moon when it follows the sun ,
በጨረቃም በተከተላት ጊዜ ፤

( the sun ) as a shining torch
አንጸባራቂ ብርሃንንም አደረግን ፡ ፡

and the sun and moon are brought together ,
ፀሐይና ጨረቃም በተሰበሰቡ ጊዜ ፡ ፡

and the sun and the moon shall be joined .
ፀሐይና ጨረቃም በተሰበሰቡ ጊዜ ፡ ፡

- nor the shade and the sun 's heat .
ጥላና ሐሩርም ፡ ፡

and make [ the sun for ] a radiant lamp ?
አንጸባራቂ ብርሃንንም አደረግን ፡ ፡

the sun and the moon are [ disposed ] calculatedly ,
ፀሐይና ጨረቃ በተወሰነ ልክ ( ይኼዳሉ ) ፡ ፡

the sun and the moon [ move ] by precise calculation ,
ፀሐይና ጨረቃ በተወሰነ ልክ ( ይኼዳሉ ) ፡ ፡

i call to witness the sun and his early morning splendour ,
በፀሐይና በብርሃኗ እምላለሁ ፡ ፡

neither to thirst therein , nor to suffer the sun . '
አንተም በርሷ ውስጥ አትጠማም ፤ ፀሐይም አትተኮስም ፡ ፡

( on the day ) when the sun is made to cease shining ,
ፀሐይ በተጠቀለለች ጊዜ ፤

and has made the moon a light therein , and made the sun a lamp ?
በውስጣቸውም ጨረቃን አብሪ አደረገ ፡ ፡ ፀሐይንም ብርሃን አደረገ ፡ ፡
