ቆርቋሪይቱ ( ጩኸት ) ፤

what is the catastrophe ?
ምን አስደናቂ ቆርቋሪ ናት !

when the greatest catastrophe befalls
ታላቂቱም መዐት በመጣች ጊዜ ፣

but when the great catastrophe comes ,
ታላቂቱም መዐት በመጣች ጊዜ ፣

what will show you what is the catastrophe ?
ቆርቋሪይቱም ምን እንደኾነች ምን አሳወቀህ ?

fear your lord . the catastrophe of the last hour shall be terrible indeed :
እናንተ ሰዎች ሆይ ! ጌታችሁን ፍሩ የሰዓቲቱ እንቅጥቃጤ በጣም ከባድ ነገር ነውና ፡ ፡

thereupon a shocking catastrophe seized them , and they remained prostrate in their dwellings .
ወዲያውም የምድር መንቀጥቀጥ ( ጩኸትም ) ያዘቻቸው ፡ ፡ በከተማቸውም ውስጥ ተንከፍርረው አነጉ ፡ ፡

but when there comes the greatest catastrophe ( i.e. the day of recompense , etc . ) ,
ታላቂቱም መዐት በመጣች ጊዜ ፣

the day when the catastrophe occurs and they are summoned to prostrate themselves , they will not be able [ to do it ] .
ባት የሚገለጥበትን ( ከሓዲዎች ) ወደ መስገድም የሚጥጠሩበትንና የማይችሉበት ቀን ( አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡

have not the faithful yet realised that had allah wished he would have guided mankind all together ? the faithless will continue to be visited by catastrophes because of their doings — or they will land near their habitations — until allah s promise ’ comes to pass .
ቁርኣንም በእርሱ ተራራዎች በተነዱበት ወይም በእርሱ ምድር በተቆራረጠችበት ወይም በእርሱ ሙታን እንዲናገሩ በተደረጉበት ኖሮ ( የመካ ከሓዲዎች ባላመኑ ነበር ) ፡ ፡ በእውነቱ ነገሩ ሁሉ የአላህ ነው ፡ ፡ እነዚያ ያመኑት ሰዎች እነሆ አላህ በሻ ኖሮ ሰዎችን በመላ በእርግጥ ይመራቸው እንደነበረ አያውቁምን እነዚያም የካዱት በሥራቸው ምክንያት ( አጥፊ ) ዐደጋ የምታገኛቸው ከመኾን ወይም የአላህ ቀጠሮ እስኪመጣ በአገራቸው አቅራቢያ ( አንተ ) የምትሰፍርባቸው ከመኾን አይወገዱም ፡ ፡ አላህ ቀጠሮውን አያፈርስምና ፡ ፡
