ከዚያም ልጨምርለት ይከጅላል ፡ ፡

competition in [ worldly ] increase diverts you
በብዛት መፎካከር ( ጌታችሁን ከመገዛት ) አዘነጋችሁ ፡ ፡

neither limited [ to season ] nor forbidden ,
የማትቋረጥም የማትከለከልም የኾነች ፡ ፡

so taste ! we will increase you only in suffering .
ቅመሱም ቅጣትንም እንጅ ( ሌላን ) አንጨምራችሁም ( ይባላሉ ) ፡ ፡

do you give it its increase , or are we the giver ?
እናንተ ታበቅሉታላችሁን ? ወይስ እኛ አብቃዮቹ ነን ?

they said , ' have we not forbidden thee all beings ? '
« ከዓለማት ( ማንንም እንዳታስተናግድ ) አልከለከልንህምን » አሉት ፡ ፡

and bestow not favors that you may receive again with increase ,
ማብዛትንም የምትፈልግ ኾነህ ፤ ( በረከትን ) አትለግስለለ

and their brethren increase them in error , then they cease not .
ወንድሞቻቸውም ጥመትን ይጨምሩላቸዋል ፤ ከዚያም ( እነርሱ ) አይገቱም ፡ ፡

' taste ! we shall increase you not save in chastisement . '
ቅመሱም ቅጣትንም እንጅ ( ሌላን ) አንጨምራችሁም ( ይባላሉ ) ፡ ፡

' taste ! we shall not increase you except in punishment '
ቅመሱም ቅጣትንም እንጅ ( ሌላን ) አንጨምራችሁም ( ይባላሉ ) ፡ ፡

that he will pay them their wages and increase them of his grace . lo !

and give you increase in wealth and children and provide for you gardens and provide for you rivers .
« በገንዘቦችና በልጆችም ይለግሰላችኋል ፡ ፡ ለእናንተም አትክልቶችን ያደርግላችኋል ፡ ፡ ለእናንተም ወንዞችን ያደርግላችኋል ፡ ፡ »

so [ now ] taste ! we shall increase you in nothing but punishment !
