one of them will say , ‘ indeed i had a companion
ከእነርሱ የሆነ ተናጋሪ ይላል « እኔ ጓደኛ ነበረኝ ፡ ፡

a speaker of them saith : lo ! i had a comrade
ከእነርሱ የሆነ ተናጋሪ ይላል « እኔ ጓደኛ ነበረኝ ፡ ፡

one of them will say , " i had a companion who asked me ,
ከእነርሱ የሆነ ተናጋሪ ይላል « እኔ ጓደኛ ነበረኝ ፡ ፡

the speaker among them said , “ i had a companion . ” –
ከእነርሱ የሆነ ተናጋሪ ይላል « እኔ ጓደኛ ነበረኝ ፡ ፡

a speaker from among them shall say : surely i had a comrade of mine ,
ከእነርሱ የሆነ ተናጋሪ ይላል « እኔ ጓደኛ ነበረኝ ፡ ፡

a speaker among them will say , " indeed , i had a companion [ on earth ]
ከእነርሱ የሆነ ተናጋሪ ይላል « እኔ ጓደኛ ነበረኝ ፡ ፡

a speaker of them will say : " verily , i had a companion ( in the world ) ,
ከእነርሱ የሆነ ተናጋሪ ይላል « እኔ ጓደኛ ነበረኝ ፡ ፡

if i had a clear evidence from my lord , and then he also bestowed his mercy upon me , who will rescue me from the punishment of allah if i still disobey him ? you can only make me lose even more .
« ሕዝቦቼ ሆይ ! ንገሩኝ ከጌታዬ በሆነ ማስረጃ ላይ ብሆን ከእርሱም የሆነን ችሮታ ( ነቢይነት ) ቢሰጠኝና ባልታዘዘው ከአላህ ( ቅጣት ) የሚያድነኝ ማነው ከማሳሳትም በስተቀር ምንም አትጨምሩልኝም » አላቸው ፡ ፡

or , he may say as he sees the punishment , " would that i had a second chance , so that i could be among the doers of good . "
ወይም ቅጣቱን በምታይ ጊዜ « ለእኔ ( ወደ ምድረ ዓለም ) አንድ ጊዜ መመለስ በኖረኝና ከበጎ አድራጊዎቹ በኾንኩ » ማለቷን ( ለመፍራት መልካሙን ተከተሉ ) ፡ ፡

one of them said , " i had a dream in which i was brewing wine . " the other one said , " in my dream i was carrying some bread on my head and birds were eating that bread . "
