but you shall not be recompensed except for what you were doing .
ትሠሩትም የነበራችሁትን እንጂ ሌላን አትመነዱም ፡ ፡

and not be recompensed , except according to what you were doing . '
ትሠሩትም የነበራችሁትን እንጂ ሌላን አትመነዱም ፡ ፡

' o you unbelievers , do not excuse yourselves today ; you are only being recompensed for what you were doing . '
እላንተ የካዳችሁ ሆይ ! ዛሬ አታመካኙ ፡ ፡ የምትመነዱት ያንን ትሠሩት የነበራችሁትን ብቻ ነው ( ይባላሉ ) ፡ ፡

whom the angels take while they are goodly , saying : ' peace be on you . enter paradise for what you were doing '
እነዚያ በመልካም ኹኔታ ላይ ኾነው መላእክት « ሰላም በእናንተ ላይ » እያሉ የሚገድሏቸው ናቸው ፡ ፡ « ትሠሩት በነበራችሁት ሥራ ገነትን ግቡ » ( ይባላሉ ) ፡ ፡

he who is astray cannot hurt you , if you are rightly guided . unto god shall you return , all together , and he will tell you what you were doing .
እናንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ ! ነፍሶቻችሁን ( ከእሳት ) ያዙ ፤ ( ጠብቁ ) ፡ ፡ በተመራችሁ ጊዜ የተሳሳተ ሰው አይጎዳችሁም ፡ ፡ የሁላችሁም መመለሻ ወደ አላህ ብቻ ነው ፡ ፡ ትሠሩትም የነበራችሁትን ሁሉ ይነግራችኋል ፡ ፡

on the day the punishment shall cover them from above them and from beneath their feet , he shall say : ' taste now what you were doing '
ቅጣቱ ከበላያቸው ፣ ከእግሮቻቸውም ሥር በሚሸፍናቸው ቀን ትሠሩት የነበራችሁትን ቅመሱ በሚላቸውም ( ቀን ትከባቸዋለች ) ፡ ፡

and you have not been hiding against yourselves , lest your ears , and your eyes , and your skins testify against you , but you thought that allah knew not much of what you were doing .
ጆሮዎቻችሁ ዓይኖቻችሁና ቆዳዎቻችሁም በእናንተ ላይ ከመመስከራቸው የምትደበቁ አልነበራችሁም ፡ ፡ ግን አላህ ከምትሠሩት ብዙውን አያውቅም ብላችሁ ጠረጠራችሁ ፡ ፡

each nation shall be summoned to its book . ( and it will be said : ) ' this day , you shall be recompensedfor what you were doing .
ሕዝብንም ሁሉ ተንበርካኪ ኾና ታያታለህ ፡ ፡ ሕዝብ ሁሉ ወደ መጽሐፏ ትጥጠራለች ፡ ፡ « ዛሬ ትሠሩት የነበራችሁትን ነገር ትመነዳላችሁ » ( ይባላሉ ) ፡ ፡

allah has already told us of your news . surely , allah and his messenger will see your work ; then you will be returned to the knower of the unseen and the visible , and he will inform you of what you were doing '
ወደእነሱ በተመለሳችሁ ጊዜ ምክንያታቸውን ያቀርቡላችኋል ፡ ፡ አታመካኙ ፤ እናንተን ፈጽሞ አናምንም ፡ ፡ አላህ ከወሬዎቻችሁ በእርግጥ ነግሮናልና ፡ ፡ አላህም ሥራችሁን በእርግጥ ያያል ፡ ፡ መልክተኛውም ( እንደዚሁ ) ፤ ከዚያም ሩቅንና ቅርብን ሁሉ ዐዋቂ ወደ ኾነው ( አላህ ) ትመለሳላችሁ ወዲያውም ትሠሩት የነበራችሁትን ሁሉ ይነግራችኋል በላቸው ፡ ፡

say : ' allah will see your works and so will his messenger and the believers ; then you shall be returned to the knower of the unseen and the visible , and he will inform you of what you were doing '
በላቸውም ሥሩ አላህ ሠራችሁን በእርግጥ ያያልና ፡ ፡ መልክተኛውና ምእምናንም ( እንደዚሁ ያያሉ ) ፡ ፡ ሩቁንና ቅርቡን ሁሉ ዐዋቂ ወደ ኾነውም ( አላህ ) በእርግጥ ትመለሳላችሁ ፡ ፡ ትሠሩትም የነበራችሁትን ሁሉ ይነግራችኋል ፡ ፡

i told them only what you commanded me to , " worship god , my lord and your lord . " i was a witness to what they did as long as i remained among them , and when you took my soul , you were the watcher over them .
« በእርሱ ያዘዝከኝን ቃል ጌታዬንና ጌታችሁን አላህን ተገዙ ማለትን እንጂ ለነርሱ ሌላ አላልኩም ፡ ፡ በውስጣቸውም እስካለሁ ድረስ በነርሱ ላይ ተጣባበቂ ነበርኩ ፡ ፡ በተሞላኸኝም ጊዜ ( ባነሳኸኝ ጊዜ ) አንተ በነሱ ላይ ተጠባባቂ ነበርክ ፡ ፡ አንተም በነገሩ ሁሉ ላይ ዐዋቂ ነህ ፡ ፡ »

nevertheless when he has delivered them behold , they are insolent in the earth , wrongfully . o men , your insolence is only against yourselves ; the enjoyment of this present life , then unto us you shall return , then we shall tell you what you were doing .
በአዳናቸውም ጊዜ እነሱ ወዲያውኑ ያለ አግባብ በምድር ላይ ወሰን ያልፋሉ ፡ ፡ እናንተ ሰዎች ሆይ ! ወሰን ማለፋችሁ ( ጥፋቱ ) በነፍሶቻችሁ ላይ ብቻ ነው ፡ ፡ ( እርሱም ) የቅርቢቱ ሕይወት መጠቀሚያ ነው ፡ ፡ ከዚያም መመለሻችሁ ወደኛ ነው ፡ ፡ ትሠሩት የነበራችሁትንም ሁሉ እንነግራችኋለን ፡ ፡

say : ' work ; and god will surely see your work , and his messenger , and the believers , and you will be returned to him who knows the unseen and the visible , and he will tell you what you were doing . '
በላቸውም ሥሩ አላህ ሠራችሁን በእርግጥ ያያልና ፡ ፡ መልክተኛውና ምእምናንም ( እንደዚሁ ያያሉ ) ፡ ፡ ሩቁንና ቅርቡን ሁሉ ዐዋቂ ወደ ኾነውም ( አላህ ) በእርግጥ ትመለሳላችሁ ፡ ፡ ትሠሩትም የነበራችሁትን ሁሉ ይነግራችኋል ፡ ፡

and he it is who takes your souls at night ( in sleep ) , and he knows what you acquire in the day , then he raises you up therein that an appointed term may be fulfilled ; then to him is your return , then he will inform you of what you were doing .
እርሱም ያ በሌሊት የሚያስተኛችሁ በቀንም የሠራችሁትን ሁሉ የሚያውቅ ከዚያም የተወሰነው ጊዜ ይፈፀም ዘንድ በእርሱ ( በቀን ) ውስጥ የሚቀሰቅሳችሁ ነው ፡ ፡ ከዚያም መመለሻችሁ ወደ እርሱ ነው ፡ ፡ ከዚያም ትሠሩት የነበራችሁትን ሁሉ ይነግራችኋል ፡ ፡

" never did i say to them aught except what you ( allah ) did command me to say : ' worship allah , my lord and your lord . ' and i was a witness over them while i dwelt amongst them , but when you took me up , you were the watcher over them , and you are a witness to all things .
« በእርሱ ያዘዝከኝን ቃል ጌታዬንና ጌታችሁን አላህን ተገዙ ማለትን እንጂ ለነርሱ ሌላ አላልኩም ፡ ፡ በውስጣቸውም እስካለሁ ድረስ በነርሱ ላይ ተጣባበቂ ነበርኩ ፡ ፡ በተሞላኸኝም ጊዜ ( ባነሳኸኝ ጊዜ ) አንተ በነሱ ላይ ተጠባባቂ ነበርክ ፡ ፡ አንተም በነገሩ ሁሉ ላይ ዐዋቂ ነህ ፡ ፡ »
