አሪፍ ይሆናል፡፡

he would enjoin piety , so how good it would be !
ወይም ( ፈጣሪውን ) በመፍራት ቢያዝ ፤

by no means ! for it would be the fire of hell ! -
ይተው ! እርሷ ( እሳቲቱ ) ለዟ ናት ፡ ፡

and the trumpet blast will sound : it would be the day of doom .
በቀንዱም ውስጥ ይንነፋል ፡ ፡ ያ ( ቀን ) የዛቻው ( መፈጸሚያ ) ቀን ነው ፡ ፡

because of the harm you did , it would be of no benefit to you today , you are partners in the punishment .
ስለ በደላችሁም ዛሬ እናንተ በቅጣት ተጋሪዎች መኾናችሁ አይጠቅማችሁም ፤ ( ይባላሉ ) ፡ ፡

it would be but a single blast of the trumpet , and they would all be arraigned before us .
( እርሷ ) አንዲት ጩኸት እንጂ አይደለችም ፡ ፡ ወዲያውኑም እነርሱ እኛ ዘንድ የሚሰበሰቡ የሚቀርቡ ናቸው ፡ ፡

should he ask for your possessions you would be niggardly as it would be hard for you to give . thus , he would make your malice become public .
እርሷን ቢጠይቃችሁና ችክ ቢልባችሁ ትሰስታላችሁ ፡ ፡ ቂሞቻችሁንም ያወጣል ፡ ፡

if they waited patiently until you came out to see them , it would be better for them . but god is forgiving and merciful .
ወደእነርሱም እስክትወጣ ድረስ እነርሱ በታገሱ ኖሮ ለእነርሱ በላጭ በኾነ ነበር ፡ ፡ አላህም እጅግ መሓሪ አዛኝ ነው ፡ ፡

messenger , preach what is revealed to you from your lord . if you will not preach , it would be as though you have not conveyed my message .
አንተ መልክተኛ ሆይ ! ከጌታህ ወዳንተ የተወረደውን አድርስ ፡ ፡ ባትሠራም መልክቱን አላደረስክም ፡ ፡ አላህም ከሰዎች ይጠብቅሃል ፡ ፡ አላህ ከሓዲዎችን ሕዝቦች አያቀናምና ፡ ፡

and had they been patient until you yourself came out to them , it would be better for them ; and allah is oft forgiving , most merciful .
ወደእነርሱም እስክትወጣ ድረስ እነርሱ በታገሱ ኖሮ ለእነርሱ በላጭ በኾነ ነበር ፡ ፡ አላህም እጅግ መሓሪ አዛኝ ነው ፡ ፡

if only they had patience until thou couldst come out to them , it would be best for them : but allah is oft-forgiving , most merciful .
ወደእነርሱም እስክትወጣ ድረስ እነርሱ በታገሱ ኖሮ ለእነርሱ በላጭ በኾነ ነበር ፡ ፡ አላህም እጅግ መሓሪ አዛኝ ነው ፡ ፡

and if you desist , it would be best for you . and if you return , we will return ; and your troops , however numerous , will not benefit you .
ፍትሕን ( ፍርድን ) ብትጠይቁ ፍትሑ በእርግጥ መጥቶላችኋል ፡ ፡ ( ክህደትንና መዋጋትን ) ብትከለከሉም እርሱ ለእናንተ የተሻለ ነው ፡ ፡ ( ወደ መጋደል ) ብትመለሱም እንመለሳለን ፡ ፡ ሰራዊታችሁም ብትበዛም እንኳ ከናንተ ምንም አትጠቅማችሁም ፡ ፡ አላህም ከምእምናን ጋር ነው ፡ ፡

god has promised you one of the two groups — that it would be yours — but you wanted the unarmed group to be yours . god intends to prove the truth with his words , and to uproot the disbelievers .
አላህም ከሁለቱ ጭፍሮች አንደኛዋን እርሷ ለናንተ ናት ሲል ተስፋ በሰጣችሁ ጊዜ ፣ የሀይል ባለቤት ያልኾነችውም ( ነጋዴይቱ ) ለናንተ ልትኾን በወደዳችሁ ጊዜ ፣ አላህም በተስፋ ቃላቱ እውነትን ማረጋገጡን ሊገልጽና የከሓዲዎችንም መጨረሻ ሊቆርጥ በሻ ጊዜ ( የኾነውን አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡

ask them : " is this better or a garden for everlasting abode which has been promised the pious and devout ? it would be their guerdon and their destination .
( እንዲህ ) በላቸው « ይህ የተሻለ ነውን ወይስ ጥንቁቆቹ ተስፋ የተሰጧት የዘለዓለሟ ገነት » ለእነርሱ ምንዳና መመለሻ ኾነች ፡ ፡

but as other societies are learning too late, it would be a tragedy if this hard-fought unity should be maintained at the expense of the variety of languages and dialects that have long called these lands home.”
ነገር ግን ሌሎች ማኅበረሰቦች የሚማሩበት ፍጥነት ከሌሎች ስለዘገየ - ይህ ብዙ የተከፈለለት ውሕደት አገሪቷን ቤቴ በሚሉ በሌሎች ቋንቋዎ ተናጋሪዎች መስዋዕትነት ከሆነ እጅግ ያሳዝናል፡፡ ”

and had we decreed for them to slay themselves or to leave their homes and families , only a few of them would have done it ; and if they did what they are advised to , it would be good for them , and would have strengthened faith .
እኛም በእነርሱ ላይ ፡ - « ነፍሶቻችሁን ግደሉ ወይም ከአገሮቻችሁ ውጡ » ማለትን በጻፍን ኖሮ ከነሱ ጥቂቶቹ እንጅ ባልሠሩት ነበር ፡ ፡ እነርሱም በእርሱ የሚገሰጹበትን ነገር በሠሩ ኖሮ ለነሱ መልካምና ( በእምነታቸው ላይ ) ለመርጋትም በጣም የበረታ በኾነ ነበር ፡ ፡

and if we had decreed for them : lay down your lives or go forth from your dwellings , but few of them would have done it ; though if they did what they are exhorted to do it would be better for them , and more strengthening ;
እኛም በእነርሱ ላይ ፡ - « ነፍሶቻችሁን ግደሉ ወይም ከአገሮቻችሁ ውጡ » ማለትን በጻፍን ኖሮ ከነሱ ጥቂቶቹ እንጅ ባልሠሩት ነበር ፡ ፡ እነርሱም በእርሱ የሚገሰጹበትን ነገር በሠሩ ኖሮ ለነሱ መልካምና ( በእምነታቸው ላይ ) ለመርጋትም በጣም የበረታ በኾነ ነበር ፡ ፡

as to those who reject faith , - if they had everything on earth , and twice repeated , to give as ransom for the penalty of the day of judgment , it would never be accepted of them , theirs would be a grievous penalty .
እነዚያ የካዱት ሰዎች በምድር ላይ ያለው ሁሉ ከእርሱም ጋር ብጤው ከትንሣኤ ቀን ቅጣት በእርሱ ሊበዡበት ለእነርሱ በኖራቸው ኖሮ ከእነሱ ተቀባይን ባላገኙ ነበር ፡ ፡ ለእነሱም አሳማሚ ቅጣት አላቸው ፡ ፡

[ remember , o believers ] , when allah promised you one of the two groups - that it would be yours - and you wished that the unarmed one would be yours . but allah intended to establish the truth by his words and to eliminate the disbelievers
አላህም ከሁለቱ ጭፍሮች አንደኛዋን እርሷ ለናንተ ናት ሲል ተስፋ በሰጣችሁ ጊዜ ፣ የሀይል ባለቤት ያልኾነችውም ( ነጋዴይቱ ) ለናንተ ልትኾን በወደዳችሁ ጊዜ ፣ አላህም በተስፋ ቃላቱ እውነትን ማረጋገጡን ሊገልጽና የከሓዲዎችንም መጨረሻ ሊቆርጥ በሻ ጊዜ ( የኾነውን አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡

since they have ( pledged ) us obedience and to speak reasonably , it would be more proper for them , when it is decided ( that everyone must take part in the battle ) , to remain true ( in their pledge to god ) .
ታዛዥነትና መልካም ንግግር ( ይሻላቸዋል ) ትዕዛዙም ቁርጥ በኾነ ጊዜ ለአላህ ( ትዕዛዝ ) እውነተኞች በኾኑ ኖሮ ለእነርሱ የተሻለ በኾነ ነበር ፡ ፡
