then said the high priest, are these things so?
ሊቀ ካህናቱም። ይህ ነገር እንዲህ ነውን? አለው፤

and having an high priest over the house of god;
በእግዚአብሔርም ቤት ላይ የሆነ ታላቅ ካህን ስላለን፥

now annas had sent him bound unto caiaphas the high priest.

በዚያን ጊዜ ሊቀ ካህናቱ ልብሱን ቀዶ። ተሳድቦአል እንግዲህ ወዲህ ምስክሮች ስለ ምን ያስፈልገናል? እነሆ፥ ስድቡን አሁን ሰምታችኋል፤ ምን ይመስላችኋል? አለ።
