for the like of it should the workers work .
ለዚህ ብጤ ሠሪዎች ይሥሩ ፡ ፡

for such a reward should the workers perform .
ለዚህ ብጤ ሠሪዎች ይሥሩ ፡ ፡

should the reward of goodness be aught else but goodness ? --
የበጎ ሥራ ዋጋ በጎ እንጅ ሌላ ነውን ?

allah there is no god but he ; in allah should the believers put all their trust .
አላህ ከርሱ በቀር አምላክ የለም ፤ በአላህም ላይ አማኞቹ ይመኩ ፡ ፡

when two of your bands were about to lose heart god befriended them ; and in him should the faithful place their trust .
ከእናንተ ሁለት ጭፍሮች አላህ ረዳታቸው ሲኾን ለመፍራት ባሰቡ ጊዜ ( አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡ በአላህም ላይ ብቻ ምእምናኖች ይመኩ ፡ ፡

በርካታ ቁጥር ያላቸው ደግሞ "ጎግል ፈልግ"ን መጠቀም እንዳልቻሉ ጨምረው ተናግረዋል፡፡

አላህም ዝንባሌዎቻቸውን በተከተለ ኖሮ ሰማያትና ምድር በውስጣቸውም ያለው ሁሉ በእርግጥ በተበላሸ ነበር ፡ ፡ ይልቁንም ክብራቸው ያለበትን ቁርኣን አመጣንላቸው ፡ ፡ እነርሱም ከክብራቸው ዘንጊዎች ናቸው ፡ ፡

when two groups among you almost decided to show cowardice – and allah is their protector ; and in allah only should the believers trust .
ከእናንተ ሁለት ጭፍሮች አላህ ረዳታቸው ሲኾን ለመፍራት ባሰቡ ጊዜ ( አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡ በአላህም ላይ ብቻ ምእምናኖች ይመኩ ፡ ፡

surely scheming is the work of satan that he may cause the faithful grief ; but he cannot harm them unless god dispense . so in god should the believers place their trust .
( በመጥፎ ) መንሾካሾክ ከሰይጣን ብቻ ነው ፡ ፡ እነዚያ ያመኑት ያዝኑ ዘንድ ( ይቀሰቅሰዋል ) ፡ ፡ በአላህ ፈቃድ ካልኾነ በቀር በምንም አይጎዳቸውም ፡ ፡ በአላህ ላይም አማኞች ይጠጉ ፡ ፡

remember two of your parties meditated cowardice ; but allah was their protector , and in allah should the faithful ( ever ) put their trust .
ከእናንተ ሁለት ጭፍሮች አላህ ረዳታቸው ሲኾን ለመፍራት ባሰቡ ጊዜ ( አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡ በአላህም ላይ ብቻ ምእምናኖች ይመኩ ፡ ፡

if allah assists you , then there is none that can overcome you , and if he forsakes you , who is there then that can assist you after him ? and on allah should the believers rely .
አላህ ቢረዳችሁ ለእናንተ አሸናፊ የለም ፡ ፡ ቢያዋርዳችሁም ያ ከርሱ ( ማዋረድ ) በኋላ የሚረዳችሁ ማነው በአላህም ላይ ብቻ ምእምናን ይመኩ ፡ ፡

and what reason have we that we should not rely on allah ? and he has indeed guided us in our ways ; and certainly we would bear with patience your persecution of us ; and on allah should the reliant rely .
« መንገዳችንንም በእርግጥ የመራን ሲኾን በአላህ ላይ የማንመካ ለእኛ ምን አለን በማሰቃየታችሁም ላይ በእርግጥ እንታገሳለን ፡ ፡ በአላህም ላይ ተመኪዎች ሁሉ ይመኩ ፡ ፡ »

say , ‘ tell me , should allah ’ s punishment overtake you , or should the hour overtake you , will you supplicate anyone other than allah , should you be truthful ?
የአላህ ቅጣት ቢመጣባችሁ ወይም ሰዓቲቱ ( ትንሣኤ ) ብትመጣባችሁ ከአላህ ሌላን ትጠራላችሁን እውነተኞች እንደ ኾናችሁ ንገሩኝ በላቸው ፡ ፡

( muhammad ) , say to them , " should god afflict you with torment , or should the day of judgment arrive , if what you claim is true , could you then seek help from any one other than god ?
የአላህ ቅጣት ቢመጣባችሁ ወይም ሰዓቲቱ ( ትንሣኤ ) ብትመጣባችሁ ከአላህ ሌላን ትጠራላችሁን እውነተኞች እንደ ኾናችሁ ንገሩኝ በላቸው ፡ ፡
