አግኝተሃል

truly they found their fathers on the wrong path ;
እነሱ አባቶቻቸውን የተሳሳቱ ሆነው አግኝተዋልና ፡ ፡

verily , they found their fathers on the wrong path ;
እነሱ አባቶቻቸውን የተሳሳቱ ሆነው አግኝተዋልና ፡ ፡

then they turned to one another and said , " it is you yourselves who are in the wrong , "
ወደ ነፍሶቻቸውም ተመለሱ ፡ ፡ « እናንተ ( በመጠየቃችሁ ) በዳዮቹ እናንተው ናችሁም » ተባባሉ ፡ ፡

and we wronged them not , but they have been the wrong- doers themselves .
አልበደልናቸውምም ፤ ግን በዳዮቹ እነርሱው ነበሩ ፡ ፡

marked from before thy lord . nor are they from the wrong- doers far away .
ከጌታህ ዘንድ ምልክት የተደረገባት ስትሆን ( አዘነብናት ) ፡ ፡ እርሷም ከበደለኞቹ ሩቅ አይደለችም ፡ ፡

they said , “ glory to our lord we — were indeed in the wrong . ”
« ጌታችን ጥራት ይገባው ፡ ፡ እኛ በዳዮች ነበርን ፤ » አሉ ፡ ፡

( moses ) replied : " i did do that and i was in the wrong ,
( ሙሳም ) አለ « ያን ጊዜ እኔም ከተሳሳቱት ኾኜ ሠራኋት ፡ ፡

" glory to our lord , " they said ; we were really in the wrong . "
« ጌታችን ጥራት ይገባው ፡ ፡ እኛ በዳዮች ነበርን ፤ » አሉ ፡ ፡

and thus we shall keep some of the wrong-doers close to others for that which they were wont to earn .
እንደዚሁም የበደለኞችን ከፊል በከፊሉ ላይ ይሠሩት በነበሩት ጥፋት ምክንያት እንሾማለን ፡ ፡

and recall what time thy lord called unto musa , saying : go thou unto the wrong-doing people .
ጌታህም ሙሳን « ወደ በደለኞቹ ሕዝቦች ኺድ » በማለት በጠራው ጊዜ ( አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡

hell shall be their bed , and also above them their covering . thus do we reward the wrong-doers .
ለእነርሱ ከገሀነም እሳት ( በሥራቸው ) ምንጣፍ ከበላያቸውም ( የእሳት ) መሸፈኛዎች አሏቸው ፡ ፡ እንደዚሁም በደለኞችን እንቀጣለን ፡ ፡

" for over my servants no authority shalt thou have , except such as put themselves in the wrong and follow thee . "
« እነሆ ባሮቼ በእነሱ ላይ ላንተ ስልጣን የለህም ፡ ፡ ከጠማሞቹ የተከተለህ ሰው ብቻ ሲቀር ፡ ፡ »

( iblis ) said : " then , by thy power , i will put them all in the wrong , -
( እርሱም ) አለ « በአሸናፊነትህ ይኹንብኝ ፤ በመላ አሳስታቸዋለሁ ፡ ፡ »

but sects from among themselves fell into disagreement : then woe to the wrong-doers , from the penalty of a grievous day !
ከመካከላቸውም አሕዛቦቹ ተለያዩ ፡ ፡ ለእነዚያም ለበደሉት ከአሳማሚ ቀን ቅጣት ወዮላቸው ፡ ፡

but the wrong-doers follow their desires without any knowledge . who , then , can show the way to him whom allah lets go astray ?
ይልቁንም እነዚያ የበደሉ ሰዎች ያለ ዕውቀት ዝንባሌዎቻቸውን ተከተሉ ፡ ፡ አላህም ያጠመመውን ሰው የሚያቀናው ማነው ? ለእነርሱም ከረዳቶች ምንም የላቸውም ፡ ፡

( recount to them about the time ) when your lord called moses : " go to the wrong-doing people ,
ጌታህም ሙሳን « ወደ በደለኞቹ ሕዝቦች ኺድ » በማለት በጠራው ጊዜ ( አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡

show me , then , what any others , apart from allah , have created . nay , the fact is that the wrong-doers are in manifest error .
ይህ የአላህ ፍጡር ነው ፡ ፡ እነዚያ ከእርሱ ሌላ ያሉት ምንን እንደፈጠሩ እስኪ አሳዩኝ ፡ ፡ በእውነቱ በዳዮቹ በግልጽ ጥመት ውስጥ ናቸው ፡ ፡

( then will the command be given ) : “ muster all the wrong-doers and their spouses and the deities whom they used to serve
( ለመላእክቶችም ) « እነዚያን ነፍሶቻቸውን የበደሉትን ሰዎች ጓደኞቻቸውንም ይግገዟቸው የነበሩትንም ( ጣዖታት ) ሰብስቡ ፡ ፡

" bring ye up " , it shall be said , " the wrong-doers and their wives , and the things they worshipped-
( ለመላእክቶችም ) « እነዚያን ነፍሶቻቸውን የበደሉትን ሰዎች ጓደኞቻቸውንም ይግገዟቸው የነበሩትንም ( ጣዖታት ) ሰብስቡ ፡ ፡
