as if they were asses taking fright
እነርሱ ልክ ደንባሪዎች የሜዳ አህዮች ይመስላሉ ፡ ፡

taking away ( burning completely ) the head skin !
የራስን ቅል ቆዳ የምትሞሽልቅ ስትኾን ፡ ፡

then surely upon us is the taking of their account .
ከዚያም ምርመራቸው በእኛ ላይ ብቻ ነው ፡ ፡

but when it comes upon them suddenly , taking them unawares ,
እነርሱ የማያውቁ ሲኾኑ ( ቅጣቱ ) ድንገት እስከሚመጣባቸውም ድረስ ( አያምኑም ) ፡ ፡

hewing out houses in the mountains and taking pride in your skill ?
« ብልሆች ኾናችሁ ከጋራዎች ቤቶችንም ትጠርባላችሁ ፡ ፡

i robbed other churches, taking wages of them, to do you service.
እናንተን ለማገልገል ደመወዝ እየተቀበልሁ ሌሎችን አብያተ ክርስቲያናት ዘረፍሁ።

and spoils in abundance that they are taking . and allah is ever mighty , wise .
ብዙዎች ዘረፋዎችንም የሚወስዷቸው የኾኑን ( መነዳቸው ) ፡ ፡ አላህም አሸናፊ ጥበበኛ ነው ፡ ፡

and bear with patience what they utter , and part from them with a fair leave-taking .
( ከሓዲዎች ) በሚሉትም ላይ ታገሥ ፡ ፡ መልካምንም መተው ተዋቸው ፡ ፡

and rebelled against their lord 's messenger . so he took them with a stern taking .
የጌታቸውንም መልእክተኛ ትዕዛዝ ጣሱ ፡ ፡ የበረታችንም አያያዝ ያዛቸው ፡ ፡

taking that which their lord giveth them ; for lo ! aforetime they were doers of good ;
ያንን ጌታቸው የሰጣቸውን ተቀባዮች ኾነው ፤ ( በገነት ውስጥ ይኾናሉ ) ፡ ፡ እነርሱ ከዚህ በፊት መልካም ሰሪዎች ነበሩና ፡ ፡

and how many a township we have destroyed , upon them our violence came at night or while they were taking their midday rest .
ከከተማም ልናጠፋት የሻነው ወዲያውም ብርቱ ቅጣታችን ሌሊት ወይም ቀን እነርሱ በቀትር አርፈው ሳሉ የመጣባቸው ብዙ ናቸው ፡ ፡

how many a town we have destroyed ! our punishment came to it at night , or while they were taking a midday nap .
ከከተማም ልናጠፋት የሻነው ወዲያውም ብርቱ ቅጣታችን ሌሊት ወይም ቀን እነርሱ በቀትር አርፈው ሳሉ የመጣባቸው ብዙ ናቸው ፡ ፡

you can see many of them competing with each other in sin , hostility , and in taking usury . what they had been doing is certainly evil .
ከእነርሱም ብዙዎቹን በኃጢአትና በበደል እርምንም በመብላታቸው የሚጣደፉ ሲኾኑ ታያለህ ፡ ፡ ይሠሩት የነበሩት ነገር በጣም ከፋ !

that day will every soul be requited for what it earned ; no injustice will there be that day , for allah is swift in taking account .
« ዛሬ ነፍስ ሁሉ በሠራችው ሥራ ትምመነዳለች ፡ ፡ ዛሬ በደል የለም ፡ ፡ አላህ በእርግጥ ምርመራው ፈጣን ነው » ( ይባላል ) ፡ ፡

( pagans ) has your lord given you preference over himself by granting you sons and taking the angels as his own daughters ? what you say is a monstrous utterance .
ጌታችሁ በወንዶች ልጆች መረጣችሁና ከመላእክት ሴቶችን ( ልጆች ) ያዝን እናንተ ከባድን ቃል በእርግጥ ትናገራላችሁ ፡ ፡

and for their taking usury , although they were forbidden it ; and for their consuming people 's wealth dishonestly . we have prepared for the faithless among them a painful torment .
