thy love
ፍቅርህ

thy lord magnify
ጌታህንም አክብር ፡ ፡

thy robes purify
ልብስህንም አጥራ ፡ ፡

thy raiment purify ,
ልብስህንም አጥራ ፡ ፡

and exalted thy fame ?
መወሳትህንም ላንተ ከፍ አድርገንልሃል ፡ ፡

know thy enemy know thyself
اعرف عدوك اعرف نفسك

and be patient unto thy lord .
ለጌታህም ( ትዕዛዝ ) ታገሥ ፡ ፡

and thy lord do thou magnify !
ጌታህንም አክብር ፡ ፡

and removed from thee thy burden
ሸክምህንም ካንተ አውርደንልሃል ፡ ፡

and admonish thy nearest kinsmen ,
ቅርቦች ዘመዶችህንም አስጠንቅቅ ፡ ፡

and warn thy clan , thy nearest kin .
ቅርቦች ዘመዶችህንም አስጠንቅቅ ፡ ፡

and warn thy tribe of near kindred ,
ቅርቦች ዘመዶችህንም አስጠንቅቅ ፡ ፡

and thy garments keep free from stain !
ልብስህንም አጥራ ፡ ፡

and we have upraised for thee thy renown .
መወሳትህንም ላንተ ከፍ አድርገንልሃል ፡ ፡

and we have taken off from thee thy burthen ,
ሸክምህንም ካንተ አውርደንልሃል ፡ ፡

and to thy lord turn ( all ) thy attention .
ወደ ጌታህም ብቻ ከጅል ፡ ፡

a recompense from thy lord-a gift sufficient -
ከጌታህ የኾነን ምንዳ በቂ ስጦታን ( ተሰጡ ) ፡ ፡

and thy movements among those who prostrate themselves ,
በሰጋጆች ውስጥ መዘዋወርህንም ( በሚያየው ጌታህ ላይ ተጠጋ ) ፡ ፡

" that we may celebrate thy praise without stint ,
« በብዙ እናጠራህ ዘንድ ፡ ፡

and what hath made thee hasten from thy people , o musa ?
« ሙሳ ሆይ ! ከሕዝቦችህ ምን አስቸኮለህም » ( ተባለ ) ፡ ፡
