this book of ours speaks about you in truth . we have been transcribing what you have been doing . ”
ይህ መጽሐፋችን ነው ፡ ፡ በእናንተ ላይ በእውነት ይናገራል ፡ ፡ እኛ ያንን ትሠሩት የነበራችሁትን እናስገለብጥ ነበርን ( ይባላሉ ) ፡ ፡

[ fir 'aun ( pharaoh ) ] said : " what about the generations of old ? "
( ፈርዖንም ) « የመጀመሪያይቱ ዘመናት ሕዝቦች ኹኔታ ምንድን ነው » አለ ፡ ፡

and we destroyed the cities about you , and we turned about the signs , that haply they would return .
ከከተሞችም እነዚያን በአካባቢያችሁ የነበሩትን በእርግጥ አጠፋን ( ከክሕደታቸው ) ይመለሱም ዘንድ አስረጂዎችን መላለስን ፡ ፡

this record of ours will declare the truth about you : we have been recording whatever you have been doing . "
ይህ መጽሐፋችን ነው ፡ ፡ በእናንተ ላይ በእውነት ይናገራል ፡ ፡ እኛ ያንን ትሠሩት የነበራችሁትን እናስገለብጥ ነበርን ( ይባላሉ ) ፡ ፡

" this our record speaks about you with truth : for we were wont to put on record all that ye did . "
ይህ መጽሐፋችን ነው ፡ ፡ በእናንተ ላይ በእውነት ይናገራል ፡ ፡ እኛ ያንን ትሠሩት የነበራችሁትን እናስገለብጥ ነበርን ( ይባላሉ ) ፡ ፡

and assuredly we have destroyed the cities round about you. and we have variously propounded our signs , that haply they might return .
ከከተሞችም እነዚያን በአካባቢያችሁ የነበሩትን በእርግጥ አጠፋን ( ከክሕደታቸው ) ይመለሱም ዘንድ አስረጂዎችን መላለስን ፡ ፡

and verily we have destroyed townships round about you , and displayed ( for them ) our revelation , that haply they might return .
ከከተሞችም እነዚያን በአካባቢያችሁ የነበሩትን በእርግጥ አጠፋን ( ከክሕደታቸው ) ይመለሱም ዘንድ አስረጂዎችን መላለስን ፡ ፡

we destroyed aforetime populations round about you ; and we have shown the signs in various ways , that they may turn ( to us ) .
ከከተሞችም እነዚያን በአካባቢያችሁ የነበሩትን በእርግጥ አጠፋን ( ከክሕደታቸው ) ይመለሱም ዘንድ አስረጂዎችን መላለስን ፡ ፡

god has informed us about you ; and god and his apostle shall watch your conduct . then you will be brought to him who knows what is hidden and what is manifest .
ወደእነሱ በተመለሳችሁ ጊዜ ምክንያታቸውን ያቀርቡላችኋል ፡ ፡ አታመካኙ ፤ እናንተን ፈጽሞ አናምንም ፡ ፡ አላህ ከወሬዎቻችሁ በእርግጥ ነግሮናልና ፡ ፡ አላህም ሥራችሁን በእርግጥ ያያል ፡ ፡ መልክተኛውም ( እንደዚሁ ) ፤ ከዚያም ሩቅንና ቅርብን ሁሉ ዐዋቂ ወደ ኾነው ( አላህ ) ትመለሳላችሁ ወዲያውም ትሠሩት የነበራችሁትን ሁሉ ይነግራችኋል በላቸው ፡ ፡

indeed , there has come to you a messenger from your own , he grieves for your suffering , and is anxious about you , and is gentle , merciful to the believers .
ከጎሳችሁ የሆነ ችግራችሁ በእርሱ ላይ ጽኑ የሆነ ፣ በእናንተ ( እምነት ) ላይ የሚጓጓ ፣ በምእምናን ( ላይ ) ርኅሩኅ አዛኝ የኾነ መልክተኛ በእርግጥ መጣላችሁ ፡ ፡
