ምን አዲስ ነገር አለህ

and what have you understood , what the one that abases is !
እርሷም ምን እንደ ኾነች ምን አሳወቀህ ?

and what have you understood , what hell is !
ሰቀር ምን እንደኾነች ምን አሳወቀህ ?

what , have you males , and he females !
ለእናንተ ወንድ ለእርሱም ሴት ( ልጅ ) ይኖራልን ?

and what have you understood , what the event that terrifies the hearts is !
ቆርቋሪይቱም ምን እንደኾነች ምን አሳወቀህ ?

and what have you understood , what the valley is !
ዓቀበቲቱም ( መውጣቷ ) ምን እንደኾነች ምን አሳወቀህ ?

they turned back and asked : ' what have you lost '
ወደነሱ ዞረውም « ምንድን ጠፋችሁ » አሉ ፡ ፡

and what have you understood , how tremendous the true event is !
አረጋጋጪቱም ምን እንደኾነች ምን አሳወቀህ ?

they said , " have you come to us to turn us away from that upon which we found our fathers and so that you two may have grandeur in the land ? and we are not believers in you . "
( እነርሱም ) አሉ ፡ - « አባቶቻችንን በእርሱ ላይ ካገኘንበት ሃይማኖት ልታዞረን ለእናንተም በምድር ውስጥ ኩራት ( ሹመት ) ልትኖራችሁ መጣህብን እኛም ለእናንተ አማኞች አይደለንም ፡ ፡ »

when they boarded a ship , he bored a hole in it . ' what , have you made a hole in it ' he said , ' is it to drown its passengers ?
ኼዱም ፡ ፡ በመርከቢቱም በተሳፈሩ ጊዜ ቀደዳት ፡ ፡ « ባለ ቤቶቿን ልታሰጥም ቀደድካትን ትልቅ ነገርን በእርግጥ ሠራህ » አለው ፡ ፡

( muhammad ) , have you seen those who try to purify themselves ? they should know that god only purifies whomever he wants and that the slightest wrong will not be done to such people .
ወደእነዚያ ነፍሶቻቸውን ወደ ሚያጠሩት ( የሚያወድሱት ) አላየህምን አይደለም ፤ አላህ የሚፈልገውን ያጠራል ፡ ፡ የተምር ፍሬ ክር ያህልም አይበደሉም ፡ ፡

till , when they are come , he shall say , ' did you cry lies to my signs , not comprehending them in knowledge , or what have you been doing ? '
በመጡም ጊዜ ( አላህ ) ይላቸዋል « በአንቀጾቼ እርሷን በማወቅ ያላዳረሳችሁ ስትሆኑ አስተባበላችሁን ወይስ ምንን ትሠሩ ነበራችሁ »

then the two went forth until they met a lad whom he slew , whereupon moses exclaimed : " what ! have you slain an innocent person without his having slain anyone ?
( ወርደው ) ተጓዙም ፡ ፡ ወጣትንም ልጅ ባገኙና በገደለው ፤ « ጊዜ ያለ ነፍስ ( መግደል ) ንጹሕን ነፍስ ገደልክን በእርግጥ መጥፎን ነገር ሥራህ » አለው ፡ ፡

they said : " have you come to us to turn us away from that ( faith ) we found our fathers following , - and that you two may have greatness in the land ? we are not going to believe you two ! "
( እነርሱም ) አሉ ፡ - « አባቶቻችንን በእርሱ ላይ ካገኘንበት ሃይማኖት ልታዞረን ለእናንተም በምድር ውስጥ ኩራት ( ሹመት ) ልትኖራችሁ መጣህብን እኛም ለእናንተ አማኞች አይደለንም ፡ ፡ »

have you not seen those who claim themselves to be pure ? rather , allah purifies whom he wills , and injustice is not done to them , [ even ] as much as a thread [ inside a date seed ] .
ወደእነዚያ ነፍሶቻቸውን ወደ ሚያጠሩት ( የሚያወድሱት ) አላየህምን አይደለም ፤ አላህ የሚፈልገውን ያጠራል ፡ ፡ የተምር ፍሬ ክር ያህልም አይበደሉም ፡ ፡

and when moses returned to his people , angry and sorrowful , he said , ' evilly have you done in my place , after me ; what , have you outstripped your lord 's commandment ? ' and he cast down the tablets , and laid hold of his brother 's head , dragging him to him .
ሙሳም እየተቆጣና እያዘነ ወደ ሕዝቦቹ በተመለሰ ጊዜ « ከእኔ በኋላ በእኔ ላይ የተካችሁት ነገር ከፋ ! የጌታችሁን ትእዛዝ ተቻኮላችሁን » አላቸው ፡ ፡ ሰሌዳዎቹንም ጣላቸው ፡ ፡ የወንድሙንም ራስ ( ጸጉር ) ወደርሱ የሚጎትተው ሲኾን ያዘ ፡ ፡ ( ወንድሙም ) ፡ - « የናቴ ልጅ ሆይ ! ሕዝቦቹ ናቁኝ ፡ ፡ ሊገድሉኝም ተቃራቡ ፡ ፡ ስለዚህ በእኔ ጠላቶችን አታስደስትብኝ ፡ ፡ ከአመጸኞች ሕዝቦችም ጋር አታድርገኝ » አለው ፡ ፡
