whereon they are at variance .
ከዚያ እነርሱ በእርሱ የተለያዩበት ከኾነው ፡ ፡

whereon every wise command is made clear
በውስጧ የተወሰነው ነገር ሁሉ ይልለያል ፡ ፡

on a day whereon secrets shall be out .
ምስጢሮች በሚገለጡበት ቀን ፡ ፡

a day shall come whereon the quaking will quake ,
ተርገፍጋፊይቱ ( ምድር ) በምትርገፈገፍበት ቀን ፤

it will be the day whereon in the fire they will be burned
( እነርሱ ) በእሳት ላይ በሚፈተኑበት ቀን ነው ፡ ፡

a day whereon mankind shall become as moths scattered ,
ሰዎች እንደ ተበታተነ ቢራቢሮ ( ወይም ኩብኩባ ) በሚኾኑበት ቀን ፤

and we have created for them the like of it whereon they ride ;
ከመሰሉም በእርሱ የሚሳፈሩበትን ለእነርሱ ፈጠርንላቸው ፡ ፡

and we have created for them of the like thereunto whereon they ride .
ከመሰሉም በእርሱ የሚሳፈሩበትን ለእነርሱ ፈጠርንላቸው ፡ ፡

and doors to their houses , and couches whereon to recline ,
ለቤቶቻቸውም ደጃፎችን በእነርሱ ላይ የሚደገፉባቸውንም አልጋዎች ( ከብር ባደረግንላቸው ነበር ) ፡ ፡

it left not aught whereon it came but it made it as matter decayed .
በላዩ ላይ የመጣችበትን ማንኛውንም ነገር እንደ በሰበሰ አጥንት ያደረገችው ብትኾን እንጂ አትተወውም ፡ ፡

a day whereon mankind shall stand before the lord of the worlds ?
ሰዎች ሁሉ ለዓለማት ጌታ ( ፍርድ ) ፤ በሚቆሙበት ቀን ( ተቀስቃሾች መኾናቸውን ) ፡ ፡

( it is ) a day whereon men will be like moths scattered about ,
ሰዎች እንደ ተበታተነ ቢራቢሮ ( ወይም ኩብኩባ ) በሚኾኑበት ቀን ፤

and on the day whereon the hour arriveth , dumb-struck will be the culprits .
ሰዓቲቱም በምትቆምበት ቀን አመጸኞች ጭጭ ይላሉ ፡ ፡

a day whereon their plotting will avail them not at all , nor will they be succoured .
ተንኮላቸው ከእነርሱ ምንንም የማይጠቅማቸውንና እነርሱም የማይርረዱበትን ቀን ( እስከ ሚገናኙ ተዋቸው ) ፡ ፡

he said : my lord ! respite me then till the day whereon they will be raised up .
« ጌታዬ ሆይ ! እንግዲውያስ ( ሰዎች ) እስከሚቀሰቀሱበት ቀን ድረስ አቆየኝ » አለ ፡ ፡

a day whereon a friend shall not avail a friend at all , nor shall they be helped .
ዘመድ ከዘመዱ ምንንም የማይጠቅምበት እነርሱም የማይርረዱበት ቀን ነው ፡ ፡

and assuredly they have gone by the township whereon was rained the evil rain . are they not wont to see it ?
በዚያችም ክፉ ዝናምን በተዘነመችው ከተማ ላይ ( የመካ ከሐዲዎች ) በእርግጥ መጥተዋል ፡ ፡ የሚያዩዋት አልነበሩምን በእውነቱ መቀስቀስን የማይፈሩ ነበሩ ፡ ፡

or have they a ladder whereon they listen ? then let any of them that has listened bring a clear authority .
ወይስ ለእነርሱ በእርሱ ላይ ( ከሰማይ ) የሚያዳምጡበት መሰላል አላቸውን ? አድማጫቸውም ( ሰማሁ ቢል ) ግልጽን አስረጅ ያምጣ ፡ ፡

and indeed they have passed by the township whereon was rained the fatal rain . can it be that they have not seen it ?
በዚያችም ክፉ ዝናምን በተዘነመችው ከተማ ላይ ( የመካ ከሐዲዎች ) በእርግጥ መጥተዋል ፡ ፡ የሚያዩዋት አልነበሩምን በእውነቱ መቀስቀስን የማይፈሩ ነበሩ ፡ ፡

and on the day whereon the hour arriveth , the culprits will swear that they tarried not but an hour : thus were they ever deluded .
ሰዓቲቱ በምትሆንበት ቀን ከሓዲዎች « ከአንዲት ሰዓት በስተቀር ( በመቃብር ) አልቆየንም » ብለው ይምላሉ ፡ ፡ እንደዚሁ ( ከእውነት ) ይመለሱ ነበሩ ፡ ፡
