« ኅይሌን በእርሱ አበርታልኝ ፡ ፡

he , who made for you fire out of the green tree , and , behold , you light fire from it !
ያ ለእናንተ በእርጥብ ዛፍ እሳትን ያደረገላችሁ ነው ፡ ፡ ወዲያውኑም እናንተ ከእርሱ ታቀጣጥላላችሁ ፡ ፡

and he will ask , " lord , why have you raised me up blind , while i possessed sight before ? "
« ጌታዬ ሆይ ! ለምን ዕውር አድርገህ አስነሳኸኝ በእርግጥ የማይ የነበርኩ ስኾን » ይላል ፡ ፡

he will say : " o my lord ! why have you raised me up blind , while i had sight ( before ) . "
« ጌታዬ ሆይ ! ለምን ዕውር አድርገህ አስነሳኸኝ በእርግጥ የማይ የነበርኩ ስኾን » ይላል ፡ ፡

o people of the scripture ! now hath our messenger come unto you , expounding unto you much of that which ye used to hide in the scripture , and forgiving much. now hath come unto you light from allah and plain scripture ,
የመጽሐፉ ባለቤቶች ሆይ ! ከመጽሐፉ ትሸሽጉት ከነበራችሁት ነገር ብዙውን ለእናንተ የሚገልጽ ከብዙውም የሚተው ሲኾን መልክተኛችን ( ሙሐመድ ) በእርግጥ መጣላችሁ ፡ ፡ ከአላህ ዘንድ ብርሃንና ገላጭ መጽሐፍ በእርግጥ መጣላችሁ ፡ ፡

and lower unto them the wing of meekness out of mercy , and say : o my lord ! have mercy on the twain even as they brought me up when young .
ለሁለቱም ከእዝነትህ የመዋረድን ክንፍ ዝቅ አድርግላቸው ፡ ፡ « ጌታዬ ሆይ ! በሕፃንነቴ ( በርኅራኄ ) እንዳሳደጉኝ እዘንልላቸውም » በል ፡ ፡

say , ‘ tell me , if allah were to make the night perpetual for you until the day of resurrection , what god other than allah can bring you light ? will you not listen ? ’
አያችሁን ( ንገሩኝ ) « አላህ በእናንተ ላይ ሌሊትን እስከ ትንሣኤ ቀን ድረስ ዘውታሪ ቢያደርገው ከአላህ ሌላ ብርሃንን የሚያመጣላችሁ አምላክ ማነው አትሰሙምን » በላቸው ፡ ፡

and lower to them the wing of humbleness out of mercy and say ; ' my lord , have mercy upon them , as they raised me up when i was little . '
ለሁለቱም ከእዝነትህ የመዋረድን ክንፍ ዝቅ አድርግላቸው ፡ ፡ « ጌታዬ ሆይ ! በሕፃንነቴ ( በርኅራኄ ) እንዳሳደጉኝ እዘንልላቸውም » በል ፡ ፡

" never did i say to them aught except what you ( allah ) did command me to say : ' worship allah , my lord and your lord . ' and i was a witness over them while i dwelt amongst them , but when you took me up , you were the watcher over them , and you are a witness to all things .
« በእርሱ ያዘዝከኝን ቃል ጌታዬንና ጌታችሁን አላህን ተገዙ ማለትን እንጂ ለነርሱ ሌላ አላልኩም ፡ ፡ በውስጣቸውም እስካለሁ ድረስ በነርሱ ላይ ተጣባበቂ ነበርኩ ፡ ፡ በተሞላኸኝም ጊዜ ( ባነሳኸኝ ጊዜ ) አንተ በነሱ ላይ ተጠባባቂ ነበርክ ፡ ፡ አንተም በነገሩ ሁሉ ላይ ዐዋቂ ነህ ፡ ፡ »
