but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

see then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,

and the foolish said unto the wise, give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

then herod, when he had privily called the wise men, inquired of them diligently what time the star appeared.

for he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, and god did rest the seventh day from all his works.

now when jesus was born in bethlehem of judaea in the days of herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to jerusalem,

now unto the king eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise god, be honour and glory for ever and ever. amen.
ⲠⲞⲨⲢⲞ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲒⲈⲚⲈϨ ⲠⲒⲀⲦⲦⲀⲔⲞ ⲠⲒⲀⲐⲚⲀⲨ ⲈⲢⲞϤ ⲘⲘⲀⲨⲀⲦϤ ⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲠⲒⲦⲀⲒⲞ ⲪⲰϤ ⲠⲈ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲠⲒⲰⲞⲨ ϢⲀ ⲈⲚⲈϨ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲒⲈⲚⲈϨ ⲀⲘⲎⲚ.

and jesus answered and said unto them, i also will ask you one thing, which if ye tell me, i in like wise will tell you by what authority i do these things.
ⲀϤⲈⲢⲞⲨⲰ ⲚϪⲈⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ϮⲚⲀϢⲈⲚ ⲐⲎⲚⲞⲨ ϨⲰ ⲈⲞⲨⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲈϢⲰⲠ ⲀⲢⲈⲦⲈⲚϢⲀⲚⲦⲀⲘⲞⲒ ⲈⲢⲞϤ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ϨⲰ ϮⲚⲀⲦⲀⲘⲰⲦⲈⲚ ϪⲈ ⲀⲒⲒⲢⲒ ⲚⲚⲀⲒ ϦⲈⲚⲀϢ ⲚⲈⲢϢⲒϢⲒ.

but the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, say not in thine heart, who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring christ down from above:)
