and again, the lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.

and the foolish said unto the wise, give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

then herod, when he had privily called the wise men, inquired of them diligently what time the star appeared.

now when jesus was born in bethlehem of judaea in the days of herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to jerusalem,

now unto the king eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise god, be honour and glory for ever and ever. amen.

and jesus answered and said unto them, i also will ask you one thing, which if ye tell me, i in like wise will tell you by what authority i do these things.
ⲀϤⲈⲢⲞⲨⲰ ⲚϪⲈⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ϮⲚⲀϢⲈⲚ ⲐⲎⲚⲞⲨ ϨⲰ ⲈⲞⲨⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲈϢⲰⲠ ⲀⲢⲈⲦⲈⲚϢⲀⲚⲦⲀⲘⲞⲒ ⲈⲢⲞϤ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ϨⲰ ϮⲚⲀⲦⲀⲘⲰⲦⲈⲚ ϪⲈ ⲀⲒⲒⲢⲒ ⲚⲚⲀⲒ ϦⲈⲚⲀϢ ⲚⲈⲢϢⲒϢⲒ.

but the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, say not in thine heart, who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring christ down from above:)
