އަދި (ހުރިހާ ކަންތައްތަކެއް) ފުރިހަމަގޮތުގައި ފުއްދެވި، إبراهيم ގެފާނު (ގެ ފަތްފުށްތައް) ވެސްމެއެވެ.

god explains the commandments to you. god is all knowing and wise.
އަދި اللَّه ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށްޓަކައި آية ތައް بيان ކޮށްދެއްވަތެވެ. اللَّه އީ، މޮޅަށް ދެނެވޮޑިގެންވާ، حكيم ވަންތަ ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.

thus god makes his commandments clear to you, so that you may understand.
اللَّه، އެކަލާނގެ آية ތައް، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް އެފަދައިން ބަޔާންކޮށްދެއްވަނީ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ވިސްނުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

in this wise allah expoundeth unto you his commandments, haply ye may reflect.
اللَّه، އެކަލާނގެ آية ތައް، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް އެފަދައިން ބަޔާންކޮށްދެއްވަނީ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ވިސްނުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

god abrogates or confirms what he pleases; with him is the source of all commandments.
اللَّه، އެކަލާނގެ އިރާދަކުރައްވާ ކޮންމެ ކަމެއް ފުހެލައްވަތެވެ. އަދި އެކަލާނގެ އިރާދަކުރައްވާ ކޮންމެކަމެއް ސާބިތުކުރައްވަތެވެ. އަދި އެކަލާނގެ حضرة ގައި، މައިފޮތް (އެބަހީ: اللوح المحفوظ) ވެއެވެ.

thus allah makes clear his commandments for you: it is expected that you will use your common sense.
اللَّه، އެކަލާނގެ آية ތައް، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް އެފަދައިން ބަޔާންކޮށްދެއްވަނީ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ވިސްނުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

(muhammad), you were not present at the west bank to witness when we gave the commandments to moses.
(އޭ محمد ގެފާނެވެ!) އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ موسى ގެފާނަށް أمر ތައް ކަނޑައެޅުއްވިހިނދު (ފަރުބަދައިގެ) ހުޅަނގުފަރާތުގައި ކަލޭގެފާނު ވަޑައިގެން ނުވަމުއެވެ. އަދި (އެތަނަށް) حاضر ވި މީހުންގެ ތެރެޔަކުންވެސް ކަލޭގެފާނު ވެވަޑައިގެން ނުވަމުއެވެ.

this is a surah which we have sent down and we have made it mandatory, and we have sent down clear commandments in it so that you may learn lessons.
(މިއީ) سورة އެކެވެ. ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ، އެ سورة ބާވައިލެއްވީ އަދި އެ سورة ގައިވާ ކަންތައްތައް ކަނޑައަޅުއްވައި فرض ކުރެއްވީ، އަދި ފާޅުވެ بيان ވެގެންވާ ހެކިތައް، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެ سورة ގައި ބާވައިލެއްވީ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ހަނދުމަކުރުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

nor should you let them turn you away from the commandments of god once they have been delivered to you; and call them to your lord, and do not be an idolater,
އަދި اللَّه ގެ آية ތައް ކަލޭގެފާނަށް ބާވައިލެއްވުމަށްފަހުގައި، އެ آية ތަކުން އެއުރެން ކަލޭގެފާނު އެއްކިބާކުރިޔަ ނުދެއްވާހުށިކަމެވެ! އަދި ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ دين އަށް (މީސްތަކުންނަށް) ގޮވައިލައްވާށެވެ! އަދި مشرك ންގެ ތެރެއިން ކަލޭގެފާނު ވެވަޑައިނުގަންނަވާ ހުށިކަމެވެ!

we had commanded adam (certain matters). he forgot our commandment and we did not find in him the determination to fulfil our commandments.
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، މީގެކުރިން ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ آدم ގެފާނަށް وصيّة ކުރައްވައި، عهد ހިއްޕެވީމެވެ. ފަހެ، އެކަލޭގެފާނު (އެ عهد) ހަނދުމަނެތުނެވެ. އަދި އެކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ކިބައިން އެއްވެސް عزم އަކާއި، ثابت ކަމެއް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ދެކެވޮޑިއެއް ނުގަންނަވަމެވެ.

but your lord does not destroy habitations without having sent an apostle to their metropolis to read out our commandments to them. we would never have destroyed cities if their inhabitants were not given to wickedness.
އަދި ރަށްތަކުގެ ތެރެއިން މައިރަށަށް، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ آية ތައް ކިޔަވައި ވިދާޅުވެ ދެއްވާނޭ رسول އަކު ފޮނުއްވައިފުމަށް ދާނދެން ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ އެރަށްތައް ހަލާކުކޮށެއް ނުލައްވަތެވެ. އެތަންތާނގެ أهل ވެރިން އަނިޔާވެރިވާ حال ގައި މެނުވީ، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެރަށްތައް ހަލާކެއް ނުކުރައްވަމެވެ.

nothing is equal to him. thus are the commandments which i have received and he is the first muslim (submitted to the will of god)."
އެކަލާނގެއަށް އެއްވެސް شريك އަކު ނުވެއެވެ. އަދި ތިމަންކަލޭގެފާނަށް އަމުރު ކުރައްވާފައިވަނީ އެގޮތަށެވެ. އަދި ތިމަންކަލޭގެފާނީ (މި أمّة ގެ) مسلم ންކުރެ، އެންމެ ފުރަތަމަ މީހާއެވެ.

accursed are they then for their breach of the bond and their rejecting the commandments of allah and their slaying the prophets without justification, and their saying: our hearts are uncircumcised. aye!
ފަހެ، އެއުރެންގެ عهد އުވާލައި، އަދި އެއުރެން اللَّه ގެ آية ތަކަށް كافر ވެ، އަދި حق އަކާނުލައި ނަބީބޭކަލުން قتل ކޮށް، އަދި ތިމަންމެންގެ ހިތްތަކަކީ ބަންދުވެފައިވާ ހިތްތަކެކޭ ބުނެ އުޅުމުގެ ސަަބަބުން، (ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެންނަށް لعنة ލެއްވީމެވެ.) އަދި ކިއެއްތަ! އެއުރެން كافر ވުމުގެ ސަބަބުން އެ ހިތްތަކުގައި اللَّه ސިއްކަގައްސަވާފައިވެއެވެ. ފަހެ، އެއުރެންކުރެ މަދުބަޔަކު މެނުވީ إيمان އެއް ނުވާނެތެވެ.

you were not there on the western side (of mount sinai) when we gave the commandments to moses, nor were you witness (to the event).
(އޭ محمد ގެފާނެވެ!) އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ موسى ގެފާނަށް أمر ތައް ކަނޑައެޅުއްވިހިނދު (ފަރުބަދައިގެ) ހުޅަނގުފަރާތުގައި ކަލޭގެފާނު ވަޑައިގެން ނުވަމުއެވެ. އަދި (އެތަނަށް) حاضر ވި މީހުންގެ ތެރެޔަކުންވެސް ކަލޭގެފާނު ވެވަޑައިގެން ނުވަމުއެވެ.

(o muhammad), you were then not on the western side when we bestowed this commandment (of law), and you were not among its witnesses.
(އޭ محمد ގެފާނެވެ!) އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ موسى ގެފާނަށް أمر ތައް ކަނޑައެޅުއްވިހިނދު (ފަރުބަދައިގެ) ހުޅަނގުފަރާތުގައި ކަލޭގެފާނު ވަޑައިގެން ނުވަމުއެވެ. އަދި (އެތަނަށް) حاضر ވި މީހުންގެ ތެރެޔަކުންވެސް ކަލޭގެފާނު ވެވަޑައިގެން ނުވަމުއެވެ.
