(كافر ކަމުން) طاهر ވެ، އަދި އެމީހާގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ اسم ފުޅު ހަނދުމަކޮށް، ނަމާދުކުޅަމީހާ ކާމިޔާބުވެއްޖެކަން ކަށަވަރެވެ.

o you who believe! remember allah, remembering frequently,
އޭ إيمان ވެއްޖެ މީސްތަކުންނޭވެ! ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ގިނަވެގެންވާ ހަނދުމަކުޅައުމަކުން اللَّه ހަނދުމަކުރާށެވެ!

go you and your brother with my communications and be not remiss in remembering me;
ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ آية ތަކާއިގެން ކަލޭގެފާނާއި، ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ أخ ވަޑައިގަންނަވާށެވެ! އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ހަނދުމަކުރެއްވުމުގައި، ތިޔަ ދެބޭކަލުން ފަރުވާކުޑަ ނުކުރައްވާށެވެ!

go with my signs, you and your brother, and do not be lax in remembering me.
ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ آية ތަކާއިގެން ކަލޭގެފާނާއި، ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ أخ ވަޑައިގަންނަވާށެވެ! އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ހަނދުމަކުރެއްވުމުގައި، ތިޔަ ދެބޭކަލުން ފަރުވާކުޑަ ނުކުރައްވާށެވެ!

and hell is brought near, that day will man remember, but of what avail will then remembering be?
އަދި އެދުވަހުން ނަރަކަ ގެންނަވާނެތެވެ. އެދުވަހުން އިންސާނާ ހަނދުމަކުރާނެތެވެ. އެ ހަނދާންކުރުމުން އޭނާޔަށް ފައިދާއެއްކުރާނީ ކޮންފަދައަކުން ހެއްޔެވެ؟

satan has gained mastery over them and has made them neglect remembering allah. they are the party of satan.
شيطان އާވަނީ، އެއުރެންގެ މައްޗަށް ވެރިވެގެންފައެވެ. ފަހެ، އެ شيطان އާ، އެއުރެން اللَّه ހަނދުމަކުރުން ހަނދާންނެތިކޮށްލިއެވެ. އެއުރެންނީ، شيطان އާގެ جماعة ގެ މީހުންނެވެ. ދަންނާށެވެ! ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، شيطان އާގެ جماعة ގެމީހުންނީ ހަމަ ގެއްލެނިވެގެންވާ މީހުންނެވެ.

believers, do not let your wealth and children divert you from remembering god. wwhoever is diverted will suffer a great loss.
އޭ إيمان ވެއްޖެ މީސްތަކުންނޭވެ! ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ މުދާތަކާއި، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ދަރިންތައް اللَّه ހަނދުމަކުރުމުން ތިޔަބައިމީހުން مشغول ކޮށް ދުރުކުރިޔަ ނުދޭހުށިކަމެވެ! އަދި އެކަންތައްކުރާ މީހާ (ދަންނާށެވެ!) ފަހެ، ގެއްލެނިވެގެންވާ މީހުންނީ، ހަމަ އެއުރެންނެވެ.

އެއުުރެން ދެންނެވޫއެވެ. اللَّه ގަންދީ ހުވާކުރަމެވެ. ކަލޭގެފާނު ބަލިحال ބޮޑުވެއްޖެއުމަށްދާނދެން، ނުވަތަ މަރުވެފައިވާ މީހުންގެ ތެރެއިން ހިމެނިއްޖައުމަށްދާނދެން، يوسف ގެފާނުމަތިން ހަނދުމަކުރެއްވުމުގައި ކަލޭގެފާނު ފިލާވަޑައިނުގަންނަވަމުއެވެ.

that we might make it a memorial for you, and that remembering ears (that heard the story) might remember.
އެއީ ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެކަންތައްތައް ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް ހަނދާންކޮށްދެއްވުމެއް ކަމުގައި ލެއްވުމަށްޓަކައެވެ. އަދި ކަނުލައި އަހާ ކަންފަތްތަކެއް އެވާހަކަ ކަނުލައި އެހުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

they said, ‘by allah! you will go on remembering joseph until you wreck your health or perish.’
އެއުުރެން ދެންނެވޫއެވެ. اللَّه ގަންދީ ހުވާކުރަމެވެ. ކަލޭގެފާނު ބަލިحال ބޮޑުވެއްޖެއުމަށްދާނދެން، ނުވަތަ މަރުވެފައިވާ މީހުންގެ ތެރެއިން ހިމެނިއްޖައުމަށްދާނދެން، يوسف ގެފާނުމަތިން ހަނދުމަކުރެއްވުމުގައި ކަލޭގެފާނު ފިލާވަޑައިނުގަންނަވަމުއެވެ.

as are not diverted by trade and merchandise from remembering him and from establishing salat and paying zakat, for they fear the day when the hearts will be overturned and the eyes will become petrified.
އެއީ ފިރިހެނުންތަކެކެވެ. (އެބަހީ: تسبيح ކިޔައި ނަމާދުކޮށް އުޅެނީ ފިރިހެނުންތަކެކެވެ.) ވިޔަފާރިއެއް ނުވަތަ އެހެންއެއްވެސް ވިއްކުމެއް اللَّه ގެ މަތިން ހަނދުމަކުޅައުމުންނާއި، ނަމާދު قائم ކުޅައުމުންނާއި، زكاة ދިނުމުން، އެއުރެން مشغول ކޮށް ދުރުކޮށެއް ނުލަތެވެ. އެދުވަހެއްގައި، ހިތްތަކާއި، ލޯތައް އެފުށްމިފުށަށް އެނބުރިއުޅޭ ދުވަހަށް، އެއުރެން ބިރުވެތިވެތެވެ.

they said, "by allah, you will not cease remembering joseph until you become fatally ill or become of those who perish."
އެއުުރެން ދެންނެވޫއެވެ. اللَّه ގަންދީ ހުވާކުރަމެވެ. ކަލޭގެފާނު ބަލިحال ބޮޑުވެއްޖެއުމަށްދާނދެން، ނުވަތަ މަރުވެފައިވާ މީހުންގެ ތެރެއިން ހިމެނިއްޖައުމަށްދާނދެން، يوسف ގެފާނުމަތިން ހަނދުމަކުރެއްވުމުގައި ކަލޭގެފާނު ފިލާވަޑައިނުގަންނަވަމުއެވެ.

the hypocrites seek to trick god, but god is tricking them. when they stand up to pray they stand up lazily, showing off to the people and not remembering god save a little;
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، منافق ން، اللَّه އަށް އޮޅުވައިލަތެވެ. (އެބަހީ: އޮޅުވައިލުމަށްކުރާ ކަހަލަ عمل ތައް ކުރެތެވެ.) އެކަލާނގެ އެއުރެންގެ މައްޗަށް އެ އޮޅުވައިލުން ރައްދުކުރައްވާ ހުށްޓެވެ. އަދި، އެއުރެން ނަމާދަށް ތެދުވާއިރު، މީސްތަކުންނަށް ކަންދައްކަމުން ކަންނެތްވެ ތިބެ ތެދުވެތެވެ. އަދި، ވަރަށް މަދުންމެނުވީ، އެއުރެން اللَّه ހަނދުމައެއް ނުކުރެތެވެ.

the hypocrites indeed seek to deceive allah, but it is he who outwits them. when they stand up for prayer, they stand up lazily, showing off to the people and not remembering allah except a little,
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، منافق ން، اللَّه އަށް އޮޅުވައިލަތެވެ. (އެބަހީ: އޮޅުވައިލުމަށްކުރާ ކަހަލަ عمل ތައް ކުރެތެވެ.) އެކަލާނގެ އެއުރެންގެ މައްޗަށް އެ އޮޅުވައިލުން ރައްދުކުރައްވާ ހުށްޓެވެ. އަދި، އެއުރެން ނަމާދަށް ތެދުވާއިރު، މީސްތަކުންނަށް ކަންދައްކަމުން ކަންނެތްވެ ތިބެ ތެދުވެތެވެ. އަދި، ވަރަށް މަދުންމެނުވީ، އެއުރެން اللَّه ހަނދުމައެއް ނުކުރެތެވެ.

and when you have performed your hajj rites, remember allah as you had been remembering your own forefathers, or even with greater zeal. (even those who remember allah do it in different ways).
ފަހެ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ حج ގެ އަޅުކަންތައް އަދާކޮށް ނިމިއްޖެހިނދެއްގައި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ކާބަފައިން ހަނދުމަކޮށް އުޅުނު ފަދައިން ނުވަތަ އެއަށްވުރެ ގަދަވެގެންވާ ހަނދުމަކުޅައުމަކުން ތިޔަބައިމީހުން اللَّه ހަނދުމަކުރާށެވެ! [އަޅަމެންގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާކޯއެވެ! ދުނިޔޭގައި އަޅަމެންނަށް (ހެޔޮކަން) ދެއްވާނދޭވެ] އޭ ކިޔައި دعاء ކުރާ މީހުން، މީސްތަކުންގެ ތެރެއިންވެއެވެ. އެއިން މީހަކަށް آخرة ގައި އެއްވެސް نصيب އެއް ނެތެވެ.

and he said: "alas! i did love the good (these horses) instead of remembering my lord (in my 'asr prayer)" till the time was over, and (the sun) had hidden in the veil (of night).
ފަހެ، އެކަލޭގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވިއެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އަހުރެންގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ ހަނދުމަކޮށް ذِكر ކުރުން ފިޔަވައި، އިރު ފަރުދާވެ ނިވައިވެއްޖައުމަށްދާނދެން އަހަށް ލޯބިކުރުން، އަހުރެންނަށް އިސްކުރެވިއްޖެއެވެ.
