میں آپ کی کال پر حاضر نہیں ہوسکا

because they are devoid of understanding, they ridicule your call for prayers saying that it is a useless act.
اور جب تم (اذان دے کر لوگوں کو) نماز کی طرف بلاتے ہو تو وہ اسے مذاق اور کھیل بناتے ہیں۔ یہ اس لئے ہے کہ وہ بے وقوف ہیں، عقل سے کام نہیں لیتے۔

you cannot make the dead hear, nor can you make the deaf hear your call, when they turn their backs on it,
آپ مفِدوں کو اور بہروں کو اپنی آواز نہیں سنا سکتے اگر وہ منہ پھیر کر بھاگ کھڑے ہوں

those whom you invoke besides god are created beings like you. so call on them and let them answer your call, if what you say is true.
(اے کافرو) یقینا وہ جنہیں تم اللہ کو چھوڑ کر (اور خدا سمجھ کر) پکارتے ہو وہ تمہاری ہی طرح (خدا کے) بندے ہیں۔ اگر تم اس دعویٰ میں سچے ہو (کہ ان میں مافوقِ بشریت طاقتیں ہیں) تو انہیں پکارو۔ پھر تو انہیں چاہیے کہ تمہاری دعا و پکار کا جواب دیں۔

(o prophet), you cannot make the dead hear, nor can you make the deaf hear your call when they turn back in retreat,
(اے حبیب!) بیشک آپ نہ تو (اِن کافر) مُردوں کو اپنی پکار سناتے ہیں اور نہ (بدبخت) بہروں کو، جبکہ وہ (آپ ہی سے) پیٹھ پھیرے جا رہے ہوں،

when ye proclaim your call to prayer they take it (but) as mockery and sport; that is because they are a people without understanding.
اور جب تم (اذان دے کر لوگوں کو) نماز کی طرف بلاتے ہو تو وہ اسے مذاق اور کھیل بناتے ہیں۔ یہ اس لئے ہے کہ وہ بے وقوف ہیں، عقل سے کام نہیں لیتے۔

god said, "indeed not; go both of you with our signs, we shall be with you, listening [to your call].
ارشاد ہوا کہ ہرگز نہیںتم دونوں ہی ہماری نشانیوں کو لے کر جاؤ اور ہم بھی تمہارے ساتھ سب سن رہے ہیں

allah said: "by no means! proceed then, both of you, with our signs; we are with you, and will listen (to your call).
ارشاد ہوا کہ ہرگز نہیںتم دونوں ہی ہماری نشانیوں کو لے کر جاؤ اور ہم بھی تمہارے ساتھ سب سن رہے ہیں
