Ва намедонам шояд ин (дер кардани азоб) озмоише барои шумо ва баҳрамандӣ то ба ҳангоми марг бошад».

allah said: verily i know that which ye know not.
Гуфт: «Ман он донам, ки шумо намедонед».

and i know not, perhaps it may be a trial for you, and an enjoyment for a while.
Ва намедонам шояд ин (дер кардани азоб) озмоише барои шумо ва баҳрамандӣ то ба ҳангоми марг бошад».

and what can make you know that perhaps the hour is close at hand?
Ва ту чӣ медонӣ? Шояд қиёмат наздик бошад.

and thus do we repeat the communications and that they may say: you have read; and that we may make it clear to a people who know.
Оёти Худоро инчунин гуногун баён мекунем, то мабод, ки бигӯянд, ки аз касе дарс гирифтаӣ ва мо ин оётро барои аҳли дониш баён мекунем.

allah said, "indeed, i know that which you do not know."
Гуфт: «Ман он донам, ки шумо намедонед».

and when it became clear to him, he said, "i know that allah is over all things competent."
Чун қудрати Худо бар ӯ ошкор шуд, гуфт: «Медонам, ки Худо бар ҳар коре тавоност!

and when the reality became manifest to him, he said, "i know that allah has power over everything."
Чун қудрати Худо бар ӯ ошкор шуд, гуфт: «Медонам, ки Худо бар ҳар коре тавоност!

he (allah) said: "i know that which you do not know."
Гуфт: «Ман он донам, ки шумо намедонед».

[god] answered, "surely, i know that which you do not know."
Гуфт: «Ман он донам, ки шумо намедонед».

they said, "our lord knows that we are messengers to you,
Гуфтанд: «Парвардигори мо медонад, ки мо ба сӯи шумо фиристода шудаем.

even then, we will not believe in your ascension, unless you bring down for us a book that we can read.”
Ва мо ба осмон рафтанатро бовар накунем, то барои мо китобе, ки аз он бихонем, биёварӣ».

'but we think that we can by no means frustrate allah throughout the earth, nor can we frustrate him by flight.
Мо медонем, ки Худоро дар замин нотавон намекунем ва бо гурехтан' низ нотавонаш насозем.
