we (subjugated) the wind to solomon.
Ва бодро роми Сулаймон кардем.

Пас бодро роми ӯ кардем, ки ба нармӣ ҳар ҷо, ки мехост, ба фармони ӯ мерафт.

ва савганд ба бодҳои сахти вазанда

a similitude of those who disbelieve in their lord: their works are as ashes which the wind bloweth hard upon a stormy day.
Мисоли аъмоли касоне, ки ба Худо кофир шудаанд, чун хокистарест, ки дар рӯзе тӯфонӣ боде сахт бар он бивазад.

and unto sulaiman we subjected the wind, whereof the morning journeying was a month and the evening journeying a month.
Ва бодро роми Сулаймон кардем.

and it is he who has loosed the winds, bearing good tidings before his mercy; and we sent down from heaven pure water
Ӯст, ки пешопеши раҳмати худ бодҳоро ба мужда додан фиристод. Ва аз осмон обе пок нозил кардем,

and by the winds that scatter clouds and rain;
ва савганд ба бодҳои бороновар

allah sends the winds that stir up clouds and then he spreads them in the sky as he pleases and splits them into different fragments, whereafter you see drops of rain pouring down from them.
Худост, ки бодҳоро мефиристад, то абрҳоро барангезад ва чунон ки хоҳад, бар осмон паҳн кунад ва онро пора-пора кунад ва бинӣ, ки борон аз даруни абрҳо берун меояд.

На ин ҳамон чизест, ки онро ба шитоб металабидед. Бод аст ва дар он бод азобе дардовар,

and unto solomon (we subdued) the wind in its raging. it set by his command toward the land which we had blessed.
Ва тундбодро фармонбардори Сулаймон кардем, ки ба амри ӯ дар он сарзамин, ки баракаташ дода будем, ҳаракат мекард.

and to solomon the wind; its morning course was a month's journey, and its evening course was a month's journey.
Ва бодро роми Сулаймон кардем.
