Чун қосид назди Сулаймон омад, Сулаймон гуфт: «Оё мехоҳед ба мол маро ёрӣ кунед? Он чӣ Худо ба ман дода, аз он чӣ ба шумо дода беҳтар аст.

and when he is told, “beware of god,” his pride leads him to more sin.
Ва чун ба ӯ гӯянд, ки аз Худо битарс, худхоҳиаш ӯро ба гуноҳ кашонанд.

"and o my people! how (strange) it is for me to call you to salvation while ye call me to the fire!
Эй қавми ман, чист, ки ман шуморо ба наҷот мехонам ва шумо маро ба оташ даъват мекунед?

he was indeed good to me when he took me out of prison and brought you (all here) out of the desert, (even) after satan had sown enmity between me and my brothers.
Ва чӣ қадар ба ман некӣ кардааст, он гоҳ, ки маро аз зиндон бираҳонид ва пас аз он, ки шайтон миёни ману бародаронам фасод карда буд, шуморо аз бодия ба ин ҷо овард.

and [remember] the man of the fish, when he left in a rage, thinking that we would not put him to hardship.
Ва Зуннунро он гоҳ, ки хашмнок бирафт ва пиндошт, ки ҳаргиз бар ӯ танг намегирем.

(paradise) is also for those who, when committing a sin or doing injustice to themselves, remember god and ask him to forgive their sins. who can forgive sins besides god?
Ва он касон, ки чун коре зишт кунанд ё ба худ ситаме кунанд, Худоро ёд мекунанд ва барои гуноҳони хеш омурзиш мехоҳанд ва кист ҷуз Худо, ки гуноҳонро биёмурзад?

Бигӯ: «Ман инсоне ҳастам ҳамонанди шумо. Ба ман ваҳй шуда, ки худоятон Худоест якто.

and he raised his parents to the throne, and they fell down before him prostrate, and he said: o my father! this is the interpretation of my vision aforetime; my lord hath now made it come true; and surely he did well by me when he took me forth from the prison, and hath brought you from the desert after the satan had stirred strife between me and my brethren; verily my lord is subtilel unto whomsoever he will.
