had we sent down this quran on a mountain, you would surely have seen it humbling itself and rending asunder by the fear of allah. such are the parables which we put forward to mankind that they may reflect.
(நபியே!) நாம் ஒரு மலையின் மீது இந்த குர்ஆனை இறக்கியிருந்தோமானால், அல்லாஹ்வின் பயத்தால், அது நடுங்கிப் பிளந்து போவதாகக் கண்டிருப்பீர்; மேலும், மனிதர்கள் சிந்திக்கும் பொருட்டு இத்தகைய உதாரணங்களை நாம் அவர்களுக்கு விளக்குகிறோம்.

do not kill your children for the fear of penury: we will provide for them and for you. killing them is indeed a great iniquity.
நீங்கள் வறுமைக்குப் பயந்து உங்களுடைய குழந்தைகளைக் கொலை செய்யாதீர்கள்; அவர்களுக்கும் உங்களுக்கும் நாமே உணவை (வாழ்க்கை வசதிகளையும்) அளிக்கின்றோம் - அவர்களைக் கொல்லுதல் நிச்சயமாகப் பெரும் பிழையாகும்.

and do not sell the covenant of god for a small price; surely what is with god -- that is better for you, did you but know.
இன்னும், அல்லாஹ்விடம் செய்து கொண்ட வாக்குறுதியை அற்ப விலைக்கு நீங்கள் விற்று விடாதீர்கள்; நீங்கள் அறிந்தவர்களாக இருப்பின், அல்லாஹ்விடம் இருப்பதுதான் உங்களுக்கு மிகவும் மேலானதாக இருக்கும்.

but none believed in musa except the offspring of his people, on account of the fear of firon and their chiefs, lest he should persecute them; and most surely firon was lofty in the land; and most surely he was of the extravagant.
ஃபிர்அவ்னும், அவனுடைய பிரமுகர்களும் தங்களைத் துன்புறுத்துவார்களே என்ற பயத்தின் காரணமாக, மூஸாவின் மீது அவருடைய சமூகத்தாரின் சந்ததியினர் சிலரைத் தவிர (வேறு) ஈமான் கொள்ளவில்லை, ஏனெனில், நிச்சயமாக ஃபிர்அவ்ன் அந்த பூமியில் வலிமை மிக்கவனாக இருந்தான்; வரம்பு மீறிக் (கொடுமை செய்பவனாகவும்) இருந்தான்.

and of the people is he who buys the amusement of speech to mislead [others] from the way of allah without knowledge and who takes it in ridicule. those will have a humiliating punishment.
(இவர்கள் தவிர) மனிதர்களில் சிலர் இருக்கின்றார்கள் - அவர்கள் அறிவில்லாமல் வீணான பேச்சக்களை விலைக்கு வாங்கி, (அவற்றால் மக்களை) அல்லாஹ்வின் பாதையிலிருந்து வழி கெடுக்கவும், அல்லாஹ்வின் பாதையைப் பரிகாசமாக்கிக் கொள்ளவும் (முயல்கிறார்கள்) இத்தகையோருக்கு இழிவுதரும் வேதனையுண்டு.
