அன்றியும் (நன்மை, தீமையாகிய) இருபாதைகளை நாம் அவனுக்குக் காண்பித்தோம்.

and he showed him the greatest sign,
ஆகவே, மூஸா அவனுக்கு பெரும் அத்தாட்சியை காண்பித்தார்.

so he showed him the greater sign;
ஆகவே, மூஸா அவனுக்கு பெரும் அத்தாட்சியை காண்பித்தார்.

moses showed him the great miracle
ஆகவே, மூஸா அவனுக்கு பெரும் அத்தாட்சியை காண்பித்தார்.

and he showed him the tremendous token.

நிச்சயமாக, நாம் அவனுக்கு வழியைக் காண்பித்தோம்; (அதைப் பின்பற்றி) நன்றி உள்ளவனாக இருக்கின்றான்; அல்லது (அதைப்புறக்கணித்து) நன்றியற்றவனாக இருக்கின்றான்.

so we showed him all our signs, but he denied them and refused,
நாம் நம்முடைய அத்தாட்சிகளையெல்லாம் ஃபிர்அவ்னுக்குக் காண்பித்தோம்; ஆனால் அவன் (அவற்றையெல்லாம்) பொய்யெனக் கூறி, நம்பிக்கை கொள்ள மறுத்து விட்டான்;

then he showed him what is wrong for him and what is right for him;
அப்பால், அவன் (அல்லாஹ்) அதற்கு அதன் தீமையையும், அதன் நன்மையையும் உணர்த்தினான்.

then his lord chose him and relented towards him, and showed him the way;
பின்னர் அவரது இறைவன் அவரைத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்து அவரை மன்னித்து நேர்வழியும் காட்டினான்.

then [musa (moses)] showed him the great sign (miracles).
ஆகவே, மூஸா அவனுக்கு பெரும் அத்தாட்சியை காண்பித்தார்.

and truly we showed him our signs, all of them, but he rejected and refused.
நாம் நம்முடைய அத்தாட்சிகளையெல்லாம் ஃபிர்அவ்னுக்குக் காண்பித்தோம்; ஆனால் அவன் (அவற்றையெல்லாம்) பொய்யெனக் கூறி, நம்பிக்கை கொள்ள மறுத்து விட்டான்;

and indeed we showed him all our signs – so he denied them and did not accept.
நாம் நம்முடைய அத்தாட்சிகளையெல்லாம் ஃபிர்அவ்னுக்குக் காண்பித்தோம்; ஆனால் அவன் (அவற்றையெல்லாம்) பொய்யெனக் கூறி, நம்பிக்கை கொள்ள மறுத்து விட்டான்;

we showed him the way: whether he be grateful or ungrateful (rests on his will).
நிச்சயமாக, நாம் அவனுக்கு வழியைக் காண்பித்தோம்; (அதைப் பின்பற்றி) நன்றி உள்ளவனாக இருக்கின்றான்; அல்லது (அதைப்புறக்கணித்து) நன்றியற்றவனாக இருக்கின்றான்.

so we showed him (pharaoh) our signs, all of them, but he belied and refused them.
நாம் நம்முடைய அத்தாட்சிகளையெல்லாம் ஃபிர்அவ்னுக்குக் காண்பித்தோம்; ஆனால் அவன் (அவற்றையெல்லாம்) பொய்யெனக் கூறி, நம்பிக்கை கொள்ள மறுத்து விட்டான்;

certainly we showed him all our signs. but he denied [them] and refused [to believe them].
நாம் நம்முடைய அத்தாட்சிகளையெல்லாம் ஃபிர்அவ்னுக்குக் காண்பித்தோம்; ஆனால் அவன் (அவற்றையெல்லாம்) பொய்யெனக் கூறி, நம்பிக்கை கொள்ள மறுத்து விட்டான்;

and indeed we showed him [fir'aun (pharaoh)] all our signs and evidences, but he denied and refused.
நாம் நம்முடைய அத்தாட்சிகளையெல்லாம் ஃபிர்அவ்னுக்குக் காண்பித்தோம்; ஆனால் அவன் (அவற்றையெல்லாம்) பொய்யெனக் கூறி, நம்பிக்கை கொள்ள மறுத்து விட்டான்;

and they showed him their brother's shirt, stained with false blood. "no!" he cried. "your souls have tempted you to do something evil! but it is best to be patient: god alone can help me bear the loss you speak of."
(மேலும், தங்கள் கூற்றை மெய்ப்பிக்க) யூஸுஃபுடைய சட்டையில் பொய்யான இரத்தத்தைத் தடவிக்கொண்டு வந்திருந்தார்கள்; "இல்லை, உங்கள் மனம் ஒரு (தீய) காரியத்தை உங்களுக்கு அழகாகக் காண்பித்துவிட்டது எனவே (எனக்கு இந்நிலையில் அழகிய) பொறுமையை மேற்கொள்வதே நலமாக இருக்கும்; மேலும், நீங்கள் கூறும் விஷயத்தில் அல்லாஹ்வே உதவி தேடப்படுபவன்" என்று கூறினார்.
