you were not able to read any book before this, nor did you write one down with your hand. if you had done so, the followers of falsehood would have had cause to doubt it.
அன்றியும் (நபியே!) இதற்கு முன்னர் நீர் எந்த வேதத்திலிருந்தும் ஓதி வந்தவரல்லர்; உம் வலக்கையால் அதை எழுதுபவராகவும் இருக்கவில்லை அவ்வாறு இருந்திருந்தால் இப்பொய்யர்கள் சந்தேகப்படலாம்.

until when they come, he will say: did you reject my communications while you had no comprehensive knowledge of them? or what was it that you did?
அவர்கள் யாவரும் வந்ததும்; "நீங்கள் என் வசனங்களைச் சூழ்ந்தறியாத நிலையில் அவற்றைப் பொய்ப்பித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தீர்களா? நீங்கள் என்ன செய்து கொண்டிருந்தீர்கள்?" என்று கேட்பான்.

may allah excuse you! why did you grant them leave [to stay behind] before those who told the truth were evident to you and you had ascertained the liars?
(நபியே!) அல்லாஹ் உம்மை மன்னித் தருள்வானாக! அவர்களில் உண்மை சொன்னவர்கள் யார், பொய்யர்கள் யார் என்பதை நீர் தெளிவாக அறிவதற்குமுன் ஏன் அவர்களுக்கு (போருக்கு புறப்படாதிருக்க) அனுமதியளித்தீர்கள்?

on the day when some faces will turn bright and ther faces will turn dark. those whose faces have turned dark will be told: 'did you fall into unbelief after you had been blessed with belief? taste, then, chastisement for your unbelief.
அந்த (மறுமை) நாளில் சில முகங்கள் (மகிழ்ச்சியினால் பிரகாசமாய்) வெண்மையாகவும், சில முகங்கள் (துக்கத்தால்) கருத்தும் இருக்கும்; கருத்த முகங்களுடையோரைப் பார்த்து, நீங்கள் ஈமான் கொண்டபின் (நிராகரித்து) காஃபிர்களாகி விட்டீர்களா? (அப்படியானால்,) நீங்கள் நிராகரித்ததற்காக வேதனையைச் சுவையுங்கள்" (என்று கூறப்படும்).

the day when faces will be whitened and faces blackened. to those whose faces have become blackened it will be said: 'did you disbelieve after you had believed? then taste the punishment for that you disbelieved'
அந்த (மறுமை) நாளில் சில முகங்கள் (மகிழ்ச்சியினால் பிரகாசமாய்) வெண்மையாகவும், சில முகங்கள் (துக்கத்தால்) கருத்தும் இருக்கும்; கருத்த முகங்களுடையோரைப் பார்த்து, நீங்கள் ஈமான் கொண்டபின் (நிராகரித்து) காஃபிர்களாகி விட்டீர்களா? (அப்படியானால்,) நீங்கள் நிராகரித்ததற்காக வேதனையைச் சுவையுங்கள்" (என்று கூறப்படும்).

(muhammad), say to those who say, 'god has commanded us not to believe any messenger unless he offers a burnt offering,' (muhammad) say, "messengers came to you before me with certain miracles and with that which you had asked for (burnt offering). why, then, did you slay them if you were true in your claim?"
மேலும் அவர்கள், "எந்த ரஸூலாக இருந்தாலும், அவர் கொடுக்கும் குர்பானியை(பலியை) நெருப்பு சாப்பிடு(வதை நமக்கு காண்பிக்கு)ம் வரை அவர் மீது நாங்கள் விசவாசம் கொள்ள வேண்டாம்" என்று அல்லாஹ் எங்களிடம் உறுதிமொழி வாங்கியுள்ளான்" என்று கூறுகிறார்கள். (நபியே!) "எனக்கு முன்னர் உங்களிடம் வந்த தூதர்களில் பலர், தெளிவான ஆதாரங்களையும், இன்னும் நீங்கள் கேட்டுக்கொண்ட (படி பலியை நெருப்பு உண்ப)தையும் திடமாகக் காண்பித்தார்கள். அப்படியிருந்தும் ஏன் அவர்களை நீங்கள் கொன்றீர்கள்? நீங்கள் உண்மையாளர்களாக இருந்தால் இதற்கு பதில் சொல்லுங்கள்" என்று நீர் கூறும்.
