say thou: i only warn you by the revelation; and the deaf hearken not unto the call when they are warned.
"நிச்சயமாக நான் உங்களுக்கு எச்சரிக்கை செய்வதெல்லாம் வஹீ மூலம் எனக்கு அறிவிக்கப்பட்டதைக் கொண்டேதான்" என்று (நபியே!) நீர் கூறும்; எனினும், செவிடர்கள் அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கப்படும் போது, (அவர்கள் நேர்வழி பெறும்) அந்த அழைப்பைச் செவிமடுக்க மாட்டார்கள்.

and they will say: had we been wont to hearken or to reflect, we had not been among the fellows of the blaze.

and of his signs are your sleeping by night and by day, and your seeking of his grace verily herein are signs for a people who hearken.

and had allah known in them any good he would surely have made them hearken; and even if he made them hear, they would surely turn away as backsliders.
அவர்களிடத்தில் ஏதேனும் நன்மை உண்டு என அல்லாஹ் அறிந்திருந்தால், அவன் அவர்களைச் செவியேற்குமாறு செய்திருப்பான்; (அவர்கள் இருக்கும் நிலையில்) அவன் அவர்களைச் செவியேற்கச் செய்தாலும் அவர்கள் புறக்கணித்து மாறியிருப்பார்கள்.

and allah hath sent down from the heaven water, then he reviveth the earth thereby after the death thereof; verily therein is a sign for a people who hearken.
இன்னும், அல்லாஹ் வானத்திலிருந்து மழையை பொழிய வைத்து, அதைக் கொண்டு உயிரிழந்த பூமியை உயிர் பெறச் செய்கிறான் - நிச்சயமாக செவியேற்கும் மக்களுக்கு இதில் (தக்க) அத்தாட்சி இருக்கிறது.

hearken to your lord before there comes the day from allah for which there shall be no averting; you shall have no refuge on that day, nor shall it be yours to make a denial.
அல்லாஹ்வை விட்டும் தப்பித்துச் செல்ல போக்கில்லாத (கியாம) நாள் வருவதற்கு முன், உங்கள் இறைவனுடைய (ஏவலுக்கு) பதிலளியுங்கள் - அந்நாளில் உங்களுக்கு ஒதுங்குமிடம் எதுவும் இராது (உங்கள் பாவங்களை) நீங்கள் மறுக்கவும் முடியாது.

hath this not guided them: how many generations we have destroyed before them amidst whose dwellings they walk? verily therein are signs; will they not therefore hearken?
இவர்களுக்கு முன்னர் நாம் எத்தனையோ தலைமுறையினரை அழித்திருப்பதும், அவர்கள் வசித்திருந்த இடங்களில் இவர்கள் நடந்து திரிவதும், இவர்களுக்கு நேர்வழியைக் காட்ட வில்லையா? நிச்சயமாக இதில் (தக்க) அத்தாட்சிகள் இருக்கின்றன. (இதற்கு) இவர்கள் செவிசாய்க மாட்டார்களா?

but if they do not hearken to this, know well that they only follow their lusts and who is in greater error than he who follows his lusts without any guidance from allah? allah does not guide those given to wrong-doing.
உமக்கு அவர்கள் பதில் கூறாவிடில், நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் தம் மன இச்சைகளையே பின்பற்றுகிறார்கள் என்று நீர் அறிந்து கொள்ளும்; இன்னும் அல்லாஹ்விடமிருந்து நேர்வழி காட்டியின்றித் தன் மன இச்சையைப் பின்பற்றுபவனைவிட, மிக வழி கெட்டவன் எவன் இருக்கின்றான்; நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் அக்கிரமக்கார சமூகத்தாருக்கு நேர்வழி காட்ட மாட்டான்.

"if any does not hearken to the one who invites (us) to allah, he cannot frustrate (allah's plan) on earth, and no protectors can he have besides allah: such men (wander) in manifest error."
