allah wants to accept your repentance, but those who follow [their] passions want you to digress [into] a great deviation.
மேலும் அல்லாஹ் உங்களுக்குப் பாவமன்னிப்பு அளிக்க விரும்புகிறான்;. ஆனால் தங்கள் (கீழ்தரமான) இச்சைகளைப் பின்பற்றி நடப்பவர்களோ நீங்கள் (நேரான வழியிலிருந்து திரும்பி பாவத்திலேயே) முற்றிலும் சாய்ந்துவிட வேண்டுமென்று விரும்புகிறார்கள்.

and he turned away from them and said, "o my people, i had certainly conveyed to you the messages of my lord and advised you, so how could i grieve for a disbelieving people?"

அல்லாஹ் (தன்னுடைய சட்டங்களை) உங்களுக்குத் தெளிவாக விளக்கவும், உங்களுக்கு முன் இருந்த (நல்ல)வர்கள் சென்ற (நேரான) வழிகளில் உங்களைச் செலுத்தவும், உங்களுக்கு பாவமன்னிப்பு அருளவுமே விரும்புகிறான். இன்னும் அல்லாஹ் நன்கு அறிந்தோனாகவும், ஞானமுடையோனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

and when allah said: '(prophet) jesus, son of mary, did you ever say to the people: "take me and my mother for two gods, other than allah?" 'exaltations to you' he said, 'how could i say that to which i have no right? if i had said that, you would have surely known. you know what is in my self, but i do not know what is in yours. indeed, you are the knowledgeable of the unseen.
இன்னும், "மர்யமுடைய மகன் ஈஸாவே, 'அல்லாஹ்வையன்றி என்னையும் என் தாயாரையும் இரு கடவுள்களாக ஆக்கிக்கொள்ளுங்கள்' என்று மனிதர்களிடம் நீர் கூறினீரா?" என்று அல்லாஹ் கேட்கும் போது அவர், "நீ மிகவும் தூய்மையானவன்; எனக்கு உரிமையில்லாத ஒன்றை நான் சொல்வதற்கில்லை. அவ்வாறு நான் கூறியிருந்தால், நீ அதை நிச்சயமாக அறிந்திருப்பாய். என் மனதிலுள்ளதை நீ அறிகிறாய், உன் உள்ளத்திலிருப்பதை நான் அறிய மாட்டேன்;. நிச்சயமாக நீயே மறைவானவற்றையெல்லாம் நன்கு அறிபவன்" என்று அவர் கூறுவார்.
